We loved this home and we are hoping to book another stay here in the near future. The home was cozy and family friendly. The first morning we were there, we woke up to three deer on the dune while the sun was rising. It was a beautiful sight! House had games for the kids which was a plus. Ocean view from master bedroom was fantastic! We have rented several houses in the outer banks and other coastal areas. This one was our favorite. The personal charm of the home was so special. You can tell the owners love thier home.

We enjoyed the comfort of our rental at Hook, Line, and Sinker. The rental agency was very helpful when we had several issues and compensation was made for a washer that did not work. We enjoyed the art work of the owners and the beds were especially comfortable. There was plenty of space for the four adults and six could stay there also. The cottage was well equipped and the fact that we could walk out the back door and on to the beach was a plys. The location was great.

This was my first experience renting a house at the beach & I was not disappointed. I picked the house because it wasn't really big & sprawling. I had knee surgery & have never sufficiently recovered to go up & down stairs well. Only 5 of us were going ,but it could have easily slept 3 more people. It was wonderfully arranged & beautifully decorated & the hand painted glasses were adorable to the extent that my daughter & I decided to come home & paint glasses ourselves. The look-out platform would have been nicer if it had some shade but it was good for watching our daughter down at the beach without me actually having to go down to the beach and it was nice of them to supply pails & shovels & what not so you could play in the sand. One disappointment was the grill, it was like the kind that you find in public parks so it wasn't very big & we questioned whether it was sanitary. You couldn't regulate the temperature & to err on the side of caution we over cooked meat just once & afterwards decided we would cook everything in the oven. The stove was a learning experience since it was electric & I had never used an electric stove. It had plenty of bathrooms, although one had a leaking tub faucet which the property rental people came and fixed promptly. I wish the stereo had instructions, like some many other things in the house because I couldn't figure out how to turn it on; luckily my husband did. I think it would be nice if the rental people would give out a map of the area so you could find the grocery store & other things. We were told it was "up around the corner" & it was, but we almost caused an accident changing lanes because we didn't understand the traffic patterns our first time out. All in all, it was worth the money. The only thing I regret is not renting the house for 2 weeks. I did not want to come home.
