We are first time renters on the Outer Banks and with Southern Shores and had a wonderful experience.
The 'Ocean Glimpse' was more home than we actually needed as it is just the two of us, but we are glad we went that route. The home was comfortable, clean, and relaxing...just what we needed! The private pool and hot tub were a true splurge! We had a minor maintenance issue our first night which was quickly remedied the following day.
We brought our dog along for his first vacation experience and this particular home was very dog-friendly. All of the deck areas are closed off so we were able to enjoy his company while outside without worrying he would wander off.
We had absolutely dreadful weather the entire week but it didn't bother us one bit. We were very sad to leave and are already looking forward to next summer! -

This was our second time staying here. The place is beautiful and the community is equally as beautiful.
I would love to stay here again however, our little Shi Tzu, Spanky, was very uncomforable on the hardwood floors- he tripped/slipped up the steps several times so he mostly stayed in our bedroom. (he is not used to open hardwood floors)
It is a great place to spend your vacation.

Our extended family had a great week at "Ocean Glimpse"! A cozy home with lots of "together" room but also big enough when some wanted their privacy. Had a well-equipped kitchen & great lay-out. Loved the large dining table so we could all have meals together. The pool was enjoyed by all and made for some relaxing days. The walk to the beach (via nearby path) was nice & a great neighborhood for bike riding too! Love the Southern Shores area because of the quiet but close to Nags Head for anything you want! Had a slight problem with the septic but left a note for the owners and SS Realty and it was corrected. We know this because the owners sent us a Christmas card with a nice note included about the repairs & updates to the property. Typical of most beach homes, had quite a few steps required to get in the house but once you're in... wow..... really nice!!!!! Would recommend a week (or 2) in this comfortable beach home. Great vacation!

My family has stayed at this home 4 years and a total of more than 10 weeks. We love the house and will stay there again if available when we can come to the outer banks. It has everything you need to have a great vacation on the outer banks...
