This beach house is perfect for us! Advantages of this property are: location (easy & quick to get to after the bridge...community directly across from rental office), peaceful, private beach, oceanfront, nicely decorated, well-maintained, well-stocked, all the comforts of home, hot tub, and shared pool. We have been coming to the Outer Banks for 30 years and this is our 5th stay in this property. We love it! We will be back again next year!

We had an outstanding visit to #415 Pelican Watch. This house was very clean and the oceanfront views...spectacular! From sunrises off the Kitty Pier to dolphin swimming 50 yards off shore to manta rays jumping out of the water nearby, we never would have believed we'd see so much. Conveniently tucked between Duck and Kitty Hawk Memorial.
The only glitch was not having linins the first night per our contract, but that problem was quickly taken care of the next day. We'll definately be back!
This house has almost everything you could think of!

Owners are very generous by giving you access to their utility closet: chairs, umbrellas, coolers, beach toys, boogie boards, and more! The kitchen is unbelievably equipped with dishes for 16+, sharp knives, flatware, pots/pans, large steaming pots, casseroles, and very nice appliances. Very comfortable home--best explained by saying that the furnishings are nice so they are properly respected and are not so extravagant that it is intimidating. Deck and porch furniture is plentiful and what a view from the upstairs master suite. Beach access couldn't be better--just down the steps and over the dune. Outside shower and foot shower are an added bonus. The pier is a few doors down--this is not a negative. Even if you are not a fisherman, we spent countless hours watching people pull in many fish. Very close to major grocery stores, liquor store, and Duck Donut--what more do you need? We never used the pool but many families in the community did and although it is small, it looked very nice. Highly recommended.

We rented this home and I fell in love!
If we were to do it again, I would never leave the house except to go around the corner to High Cotton BBQ for ribs and Duck Doughnuts. Stop at the grocery store on the way in and EVERYTHING you need will be at the house. Walk on the beach, swim in the pool, and relax back in the hot tub. It is a vacation all in one at this house.
Trust me --- forget the site seeing and just relax at this house --- that would be a TRUE vaccation!
This was an excellent home. The ability to stay for four to five days was paramount in agreeing to rent it. We were so pleased with the outcome. Southeren Shores made it possible for us to arrive late and leave late.
Thanks for all Linda

We just finished our annual family vacation to the Outer banks. We have been coming for over 20 years, only missing a few years.
Pelicans Nest provided so much of what we love about the area! As the parents/ grandparents we enjoyed the wonderful master bedroom sleeping to the sound of the waves each night. The next two generations particularly like that the beach is just over the dunes with so much to discover new each year! We love seeing the dolpins from the deck, the great variety of shells, the pelicans and the comfortable funishings. All enjoyed the hottub!
Finally, what could be better than having DUCK DONUTS within walking distance!

A wonderful, perfectly sized spot. We stayed in this house while others who came for a few days stayed at the hotel which is 1/2 block away. The house had many "kid" ameneties like movies, high chairs, gates and booster seats. And the owners seem like delightful people, they have a drawer to leave things for the next guest like reynolds wrap, take a little, leave a little premise. I'd definitely stay here again.

We had spent a few days at the Hilton next door and fell in love with area. So we went home and planed our return. We discovered this house on the web site, called some friends to come along.
We enjoyed the house the view of the ocean and the weather in October.
The house is beautifuly furnished and very comfortable. We will return when possible, and would recommend highly.
