This is the 3rd year we have rented this cottage and we really enjoy it. The decks are beautiful and the dune deck and beach access are perfect. We have everything we need in the kitchen - although we would love a toaster-oven (picky, picky). We have plenty of dining space and have had guests and friends over. The living area is spaceous. We do not use the upstairs loft area very often because of the pool table. Really we could do without that and would enjoy the extra room up there to view the TV. Bedrooms and baths are great as is the laudry room - where we put the youngest child (4 mos.). Our only complaint is that we would LOVE bunk beds in at least one room. We could put 4 children together and have more room for grownups. Just a suggestion. Also, the screened porch is not well furnished. We would use it much more if it was more comfortable. At the moment there are only plastic chairs and a table. We love the porch rockers and use them all the time. Also, the closet under the house is full of beach chairs, pools, beach toys, etc. This is a huge help so that we do not have to schlepp so much stuff. We have already put in our request for next year so you know we really like this cottage.

This was our 6th consectutive year to vacation at OBX. We have changed rental properties a couple times, but this, by far, was the best home and location. We had 4 generations of family members including 3 career military there. It was the perfect setting for our reunion. The property is well maintained and provides a full set of amenities. We loved the wrap around deck, rockers and close proximity to the beach. The house was spacious and well layed out. We were all very sad when we had to leave.

Finding an animal friendly house was definitely a priority....and oceanfront with 6 bedrooms....we couldn't have been happier...although my sister and I always share a room and would have been happier with a king size bed in the downstairs master bedroom....aside from that it was a wonderful vacation and we are returning this summer....plenty of space...a well stocked kitchen and room for the kids to have their own space...beautiful views...calm seas...and so much space outside around the house....I would highly recommend this cottage.....and so would "Bob" the dog......

This is a beautiful, comfortable, well-equiped beachfront home....our favorite among all rental homes we've stayed at during 20+ years of visiting the Outer Banks. We spend hours hanging out on the various porches or on the dune-top deck (over which we set up a canopy for shade)....when not on the beach!
Great house for kids due to the beachfront location, and for the rest of us who just like to sit and stare at the ocean.
Note that while you can have a dog at the house, no dogs are allowed on this area of the beach. The rental company doesn't point that out. (Don't like dealing with the rental company, but once you're in the house you're fine!) -

I love everything about this house. We have rented it for 2 years and intend to keep on renting it. Everything works well and we love the dune deck, the beach and the screened porch. My only suggestion would be to put bunk beds in one of the bedrooms. We have a potential of 6 children and it would be great to put 4 of them in one room in bunks. I also love the fact that we can bring a dog. Our beloved Eli passed away right before we came this year but I am sure we will have another dog to bring in future years.
