We have been there for 3 years and love this place. The steps can be a little much for our older guests but that is still a minor issue. The pool was not ready upon arrival on Saturday but on a call to Southern Shores it was swimmable on Sunday. We were told the pool condition was because of poor weather the week before our arrival.

Terrific home. The layout is accomodating for all and allows privacy as no bedrooms share a common wall. The decorating and ammenities are fantastic, clearly decorated with an attention to detail but still comfortable. Loved the newer TV's, surround sound, the large hot tub, large pool and the quiet location on a dead end road. The kitchen is well set up and the lower rec room area is a plus for lunches or beverages. The location allows for easy access for daily walks for humans and dogs! Easy walk or drive to beach. Personally, did not care for the Hillcrest beach area; found it narrow, crowded and a huge drop off to water line.

All types of guest needs and wants are accommodated at Quinn's Almost By The Sea! Our group consisted of 5 teen-aged boys, 1 senior citizen, 2 middle aged women and a Siberian Husky. The layout and location of this house is perfect because you can satisfy the need for non-stop activities, or depending on your vacation desire; privacy and relaxation. Plenty of space, beautifully appointed and just far enough from the beach to enjoy both the water and the woods. Dogs will be happy too with the variety of hikes to the Sound, the Beach or even Duck!

I have a large family and it was very spacious for all of us. It was nicely decorated and the bedrooms had the right size beds in them. We especially enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. We have stayed in this house twice. We are hoping to stay again this year. The only draw back is the walk to the beach. If you have alot of stuff you might want to drive to the parking area at the beach which is across the street. It's not a long walk.
