Georgiawonderful and relaxing

The "cottage" was wonderful for our large family. Plenty of room and plenty of bathrooms. It was nice having the linens provided. Loved having an ice machine!
One improvement could be the parking for more than two cars needs to be provided. A Jacuzi and screened porch would make the "cottage" perfect.
Thanks for the opportunity. -

Dublin, OhioFabulous home & accommodations

We really enjoyed the features and amenities of this house, especially the pool! Even little James (9months) enjoyed the jumperoo ! This was our first time on the west side of Duck Road, and we were surprised how convenient the walk/ride to the beach was, even got to feed the turtles in the ponds twice a day!
We really appreciated the owner's quick response to the dishwasher problem, it made the last two weeks much more pleasant! Very well equipped house with attention to the little ones...we had our 4 grandchildren there and they had a blast.
The only negative (& it's a preference) was the dining table and chairs...we did feel comfortable up high and we couldn't get everyone seated at the table...buthat didn't stop us from eating and we
had a ton of fun anyhow !
Great place, we'll look to return sometime soon ! -

MarylandWonderful place!

The pictures don't do this house justice. It was a beautiful home with brand new appliances, bedding, baby equipment, awesome ice maker, beverage refrigerators and lovely furniture. We could walk to the beach if we wanted but since we always had loads of toys and stuff, we opted to drive and parking was almost always available. It was secluded and quiet. Pool was sort of in the front yard and not much grassy area, but sand. Ample parking for 4 cars at top of driveway and long enough driveway for more cars at bottom. Elevator was useful in getting lots of groceries to top floor. Only downside of the beautiful hardwood floors on the 3rd level was you could hear people walking above if you were in the first bedroom on the right when you walk into the house. Other than that it was a wonderful place to stay. We loved it and so did the kids!!

Murrysville, PA (near Pittsburgh)Awesome Property
Left on 01/21/2009 for a stay in July 2008
The property is everything the description says.
The elevator came in handy for moving in/out, hauling groceries and made it easier for my 93-yr.old mother-in-law (Grandma) to get around.
There were more than enough board games and video games to occupy our 5 - 8-yr.old grandchildren in the evening or on the odd bad weather day.
The swimming pool was just the right size (although the pool guy was a little unfriendly). But he did stop by to check the pool. We stayed at a property at OBX a few years ago and never saw the pool guy.
From the LCD TVs to the full complement of houseware, we had everything we needed.
The place even has a wine cooler!
Location is great too. It is on a quiet street - my daughters rented bikes and went riding with the grandkids - but close enough so you could walk to the beach if you wanted to. -

This was a great home! We really enjoyed our stay. The pool was very nice and the location was close to the ocean, so we could go to the beach easily. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for a big family. Elevator really made it easy to get food and luggage into the house. Well equipped kitchen made cooking for a crowd a pleasure.

Pasadena, MDGreat home
Left on 01/08/2009 for a stay in August 2008
This house was amazing. The whole family loved it! Everything was very well maintained, and immaculate.
I really enjoyed the layout of the house...the main "hang-out" room was located far enough away from the sleeping rooms, that the adults could stay up late and never disturb the kids (and the kids could get up early in the morning and not wake the adults).
The house came with all the baby gear I needed, even a jumper. It also had all the cooking equipment we could ever need. It even has an independent ice maker (perfect for filling coolers) and a wine fridge.
The elevator was a perfect bonus since one of our guests had unanticipated surgery right before the vacation.
All in all, a great house and a wonderful value. -

Baltimore, MDClose but no cigar

Wine 'n' Down seemed to have the perfect configuration for our family. Great kitchen; well stocked yet plenty of room for our stuff; lovely pool; plenty of private space and bathrooms; good parking; fabulous location. It was obvious lots of thought went into this renovation. One drawback for us, though, no big gathering/hangout area other than around the kitchen table ... TV room worked for 4-5 people ... more than that and it was crowded though I liked the fact that it was set away from the main living and sleeping space. We were a family of adults (ages 17 and up) so there was no comfortable place to gather together in the evening. And we had 'technical difficulties' - dishwasher did not work; toilet clogged; and vermin of some kind were in the walls over the bedrooms keeping us up at night all week long. Southern Shores did nothing to address or remedy ... definitely was not our prior experience with this realty company and did make us think about whether to use them in the future. All of this was documented in our final paperwork. I never received a follow-up call either. Think we are still hunting for the perfect fit.
