We are a family of 20. There was plenty of room for everyone and the pool, hot tub and game room were put to good use. I have bad knees, so the elevator was a blessing, as well as the short and flat walk to the beach! Would definitely recommend the Green Iguana. The owners were so gracious as to send us a surprise dessert! How awesome is that?!!

When I was 9 yrs old my whole family went on a beach trip. It was great. I was able to play with my cousins. We cooked out, and enjoyed each others company. Great memories. Last year my grandmother wanted us to relive that memory but with a new generation. Our children are the same age and everyone was able to attend. The house was fantastic. Having the pool and hot tub was a life saver. It was so close to the grocery store that our cookouts were a breeze. We enjoyed the area greatly. We even were able to have a photographer to meet us and have pictures on the beach. My grandmother said it was the best time of her life. She is 83. Thank you for helping us to make such a wonderful memory for us.

I have four children each of whom has a spouse and children of their own. We total 19 people and we love this house. Its location (near the Foodlion Grocery and yet no street to cross on the way to the beach), access to the home beginning at 2 PM on Saturday, no linens to bring--all things that make it easy to have fun. The pool and hot-tub add very much to the enjoyment, the former is really handy for 1 to 3 year old children. The house works wonderfully for us. Nb: a second recycling container would really help since they come only once a week and second, the wood plank walkway to the beach is in definite need of some work. Several planks are missing, some are so warped they are a hazard, some are loose. Kids in flip-flops need to be careful or otherwise they'll trip.

Green Iguana is located perfectly in near everything but yet you are in your own little culdesac of 3 homes. Its next to KH pier with your own walkway to the beach! The home has every kitchen item you can think of! The bedrooms are just what you see onli

We found the house to be very accetable, it fit our needs as far as beach , fishing, and travel,it was great to get up in the morning cook in the large kitchen and be able to sit down to a meal with everyone together, there was few minor drawn backs tho the garbage wasn't picked up while there maybe we didn't understand the schedual, there was lack of sharp cutting knives as the chef didn't bring his along, we actually had two chef's along, and one short order cook but everything else was great. I would recommend this house to anyone and have so far, we are planning to use it again next year, but could you do lil something with the weather, just a tad bit warmer would be great ahahaha, just kiddding on that.We Had one of the most enjoyable vacations there this year and i have been coming to Outer Banks for 13 yrs.Didn't even mind the skeeters as we had none but few.

Everything was really nice considering Hurricane Irene. We were able to check in 2 days late but it turned out to be a nice week. Close to the beach!! Kids loved it. The only concern I had was the dining room chairs/tables were dated and did not seem very stable, in fact 2 chairs were broke when we arrived from the previous renters. Other than that is was a great time.

We had 20 people in this house and not once did we feel crammed. We even had dinners at the house together ( all of us) and everyone had a place to sit and eat. This house is walking distance of BP and Rite aid and a little shopping plaza. That was very convenient. The walk way to the beach is so short and easy. Loved that. Also the pool is huge and has a bench in the deep end so us adults could get away from all the crazy kids sometimes. Loved this house.

The whole rental experience was great. Outer Banks Blue Realty has a smooth and simple procedure for booking & checkin/checkout. The house was equipped with a key code so you don't have to try to find the realty office to get keys. This property is designated as "Blue Ribbon" and one of those perks was an early checkin at 1300 which was really nice since we had alot family members traveling great distances and through the night with little ones. Property is very close to shopping, restaurants and grocery stores. The beach is pretty much out the back door and the pool at the house was great. I only had one issue and that was the carpet. It either needs a really good deep cleaning or replacement especially in the high traffic areas.

THE SERVICE WAS ON POINT REASON WHY I SAY THIS IS WHEN THEY SAW WE NEEDED MORE TRASH CANS THE NEXT DAY TWO CANS SHOW UP WITHOUT A PHONE CALL. THE FAMILY LOVE THE KITCHEN THE THE COUNTER WAS SO BIG IT SAT 12 PEOPLE AROUND THE COUNTER. BATHROOM IN EVERY ROOM, ELEVATOR, AND T.V. IN EVERY ROOM THAT WE HAD ABOUT 4 WIL GAMES HOOK UP. WE WERE ABLE TO USED OUR LAB TOPS BECAUSE WE HAD WIRESS INTERNET AND THE POOL ROOM WAS AWESOME. OUR STAY WAS IN DECEMBER WE STILL USED THE HOT TUB WONDERFUL. THE FAMILY HAS AGREE TO COME BACK EVER YEAR CHRISTMAS TIME. THANK YOU SO MUCH OUTER BANKS BLUE.

This was a terrific rental. Plenty of "together" space and private space. Would be wonderful offseason with a working fireplace. The beds made, the towels in place, the soap and the toilet paper made getting settled a snap...just like a hotel...excellent value there. This house is starting to show its age and could use a little routine maintenance and recarpeting, but that takes nothing away from the house itself and the location. Everything is close by, beach, restaurants, grocery, shopping, drug store.

First I want to say we had a great time with Family that lives in different parts of the country. The weather was terrfic everyday. The bedrooms were large, clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking for all. The house was decorated very nice.
Now for the issues. The elevator didn't work even though we had someone come out and fix it it still never worked right.
The three floor rooms were hot. Air conditioning was not adquate enough to cool that floor. Did have window units but still was very hot.
The one thing that we din't like was that you could not see the pool from anyside of the house. You could only view it from looking at it. No floors had a view of the pool. That was a problem when even the bigger kids were in the pool we would like to watch them and couldn't.
I will say that we still all had a great time because we were all together from Va to NJ to FL to NM we had fun. -

Our dealings with Outer Banks Blue were exceptionally good, from making initial reservations, to payments, to the young lady who came by shortly after we arrived to make sure everything was okay and offer assistance with anything needed, to the repairman who took care of some maintenance issues, and lastly to the guy who came by and rolled out the trash cans for us as we put the last things in our cars to head home.
The house was fine, but it does have maintenance issues. (ie hinge off a cabinet in the kitchen, microwave handle coming off, dirty carpet, kitchen needing towels, dish rag or sponges, etc.) None were awful, but for such a large house, it was not quite up to expectations. -

The house at 6 Ocean Drive wasn't quite ready at 4 PM but I had purchased
the with towels and sheets option so making all those beds would
undoubtedly take a bit longer. Everybody understood and was patient. The
location of the house with its quick access to the beach, its access to the
grocery and ample parking for 5 vehicles, and its size, is just perfect for my
extended family. Also, the location of the pool on the west side of the
house provides sun all afternoon into early evening which is perfect for
relatively small children once they come back from the beach. The hot tub
out in the open and very near the pool makes it great for conversations.
The house is wonderful and the addition of Wi-Fi in the house was great
except it cut my excuse to get a smoothie from across the street everyday.
Often 4 computers were connected and working at the same time. One
more recycling container would be great. The clothes washer wouldn't spin
or drain when we arrived on Saturday. It was fixed on Tuesday but there
should be a way to leave a non-emergency but still important telephone
message at the Outer Banks Blue Office. One of the two dishwashers would
tilt forward an inch or two if the door were put all the way down. It would
work but the chassis had a plenty of movement in terms of tipping forward.
All things considered I would be quite happy to stay at Green Iguana next
year, the same week in June. The weather was pleasant and the ocean water
warm. One last item--the key-less entry system was great! -

19 of us travelled down to enjoy our spring break 2009. This house suited us well! 10 bedrooms and all the amenities that we needed. The layout of the house was great. It was a little further from the beach than we were used to but not too bad. The elevator was not in good working order and while it did not affect us it may affect someone who chooses this house because of this listed amenity. The location of this house is close to local sites and grocery stores alike. This property is a great choice!! You will enjoy this house!
