This is a perfect beach cottage! We loved the location and the house fit our needs perfectly. The pool was perfect, we loved the hot tub at night star gazing. The house is not overly fancy, but we loved it. We have used Southern Shores for the past 7 years and have not had one bad experience. The only negative, is the back corner tree which dropped many leaves and bugs in the pool overnight, but we cleaned them out every morning and it was fine. We hope to re-rent this house again!

We love the house and all its creative decorating. The cleaning of the home was wonderful and the pool staff was extremely good. This is our third year at Beach Daze and we felt this year was the best. All amenities were working well. The only recommendation I would make would be a full curtain that can open/close on the large front window. On extremely hot sunny days it was difficult for the ac units to keep up and we were very hot inside for several days. As well, the glare hinders tv watching for kids in the afternoon. Otherwise, and as usual, we love the house and our stay.

Our first visit to Beach Daze and we were very pleasantly surprised at how
nice the house was laid out and nicely decorated. Comfortable furniture, we
didn't use the "children' room" with the bunks but the other three bedrooms
were occupied and everyone enjoyed their room. Can't say we took
advantage of the kitchen that much because of our favorites resturants.
The pool was very well used and we totally forgot about the hot tub. Beach
was within easy walking distance and maybe because it was early in the
season very little company. Our reservations, check in and check out all
went without a hitch. We would love to rent this house again next year, we
just need to agree on a date.
The workmen who showed up early on Friday to work on the roof/gutters
were very nice and since we were packing the car they actually helped load
a few things.
We love Southern Shores and were very pleased with our vacation this year. -

My week at Beach Daze this summer was one of the best vacation experiences I have ever had. I love the beacha dn come every year for a week or more. This was awesome. In particular I liked:
1. Friday to Friday rental. Avoids the traffic of Sat/Sun and allows me the weekend when I return to get my life back together before returning to work.
2. The house has a wonderful sense of privacy. Set back in the wooded area, the pool privacy was an unexpected delight.
3. The screened porch overlooking the pool and back yard was something we enjoyed every morning at breakfast every evening for supper. We greated the fox each evening with table scraps too.
4. Beach access was easy and the beach was less crowded than any place I have been on the OBX.
I will be there again next year! -

We have stayed at this house every year for 7 years. I think that says something about it. It is a perfect fit for our family, close to the beach, pool for the kids, hot tub to relax in, sand volleyball court (which we spend a lot of time on), and a wonderful seperate suite off of the main house. All on a private dead end road with almost no traffic. Our family loves this house, it has everything we need and we will continue to come back year after year.

We have stayed at the Beach Daze twice and are planning another vacation this year. We have looked at other rentals but still come back to the Beach Daze for its location and amenities (pool and hot tub). It has always been a quiet neighborhood and the beach is just a short walk away. The perfect getaway for a family vacation.

We have stayed at "Beach Daze" two years in a row and will again in 2009. This property is close to everything we wanted. It's just a few yards from a great beach, close to shopping and sights to see and just overall very convenient.
We enjoyed the pool and roof top hot tub. It was great for star gazing! We also were able to bike on the trail as well as the many lovely streets and neighborhoods. We also enjoyed four-wheeling in Corolla which is not too far away.
We took my parents and my in-laws so they could enjoy quality time with their granddaughters and a great time was had by all!
