Have been visiting the OBX for 13+ years now.. always a wonderful visit. Weather was nice this week.. in the mid to upper 60s.. a lot warmer then NY.. the house was great..roomy..clean.. be aware.. a family of 4 foxes live right in the back yard..and come out at night looking for food.. they were nice though. Also.. not having the pool open til mid may is a downer because we always have a house with a pool.. took the kids to the soundside to swim instead. Next time I will read the listing better and come when the pool is open.

We stayed at the Sea Fever over a long weekend for the OBX Marathon weekend. It was a beautiful home and we had a nice stay. The only tricky part was finding the keyless entry which is around the back and try to get in while in the dark... there were no lights! Other than that, everything was great! I would definitely stay there again!

This is our 2nd year going to Sea Fever. My family just loves the OBX and Sea Fever. It is a home away from home. The house is stocked with everything needed for a week away, so the only thing to pack is our clothing. I have 3 children ages 10, 8, and 5. They can't wait to go back next year. They enjoy the pool, hot tub, games, and bikes. If there were any items to improve our stay, I would recommend new seats for the two toilets, a new kitchen floor, a new grill, and renovate the splintery deck.

This was my second stay at the Sea Fever and it was just as great as the first time. It is just a short walk form the beach and easy to get to. It was really nice to have a pool on the property as well as a hot tub for a nice evening soak after a long day of sight seeing! The house is very welcoming with anything that you may need...I would definitely rent this property again.

I would like to know where the patio furniture that was to be replaced went, we did not see it the entire time we were there. They did come and get 9 broken bikes and that was it. I told the person that came to pick up the broken stuff about the patio furniture and he never returned?????
Other than that, the house was great.
Sorry to hear that the house was torn up by the party that came the week before we arrived!
No place to put any groceries, all the cabinets were full of dishes and glasses.

This house is in a great location, the beach is just at the end of the street and the owners have provided a cart where you can load it up with all your beach stuff, they also provided what we call beach bikes--that our teenagers rode back and forth to the beach..the pool is awesome!! and gets plenty of sun to warm it up.. also it is not a far bike ride to Duck, but it is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Duck..

To begin with I was always told if I didn't have something nice to say to keep quiet. However you ask so here goes, I have pictures that I am going to forward you. We have stayed at Nags Head for 18 years and this is the worst house we have rented. The kitchen counter had something sweet on it and was covered with ants when we arrived. The over was very dirty. The bed in one of the bedrooms was blocked up with 2 pieces of wood. Everytime you turned over in the bed it came off the blocks. There was nails sticking up on the deck that I stepped on and cut my foot. The chair on the deck outside the bedroom is falling apart. There was 16 bicycles, and not one was rideable. We had to clean around the pool, and the pool furniture table, chairs, lounge chairs were broken. A breaker tripped in the middle of the night and we couldn't get the breaker fixed until someone came the next day because the breaker box was locked up. The underground parking space was cluttered and leaves everywhere. The beach chairs were durty and had to be cleaned before we could take them to the beach. I'm sorry but when you go on vacation and pay $1400.00 for a palce to stay for a week you expect a little better. I think it would be a very nice rental if it had some repairs done. We were very dissapointed. We did have beautiful weather and enjoy Nags Head very much. This is the first time we have been dissapointed with our vacation.

I have rented several rental homes of Southern Shore Realty and have been disappointed in one thing or another. With Sea Fever I was pleased with everything. What I most was pleased with is the ammenities that they listed like beach cart, beach toys bicycles. They were all in great shape and able to use. We have not found that to be true in the other homes that we have rented. If the economy wasn't as bad we would be renting Sea Fever again this year!!
