We welcome this cottage back! Newagen Cove Cottage is a three-bedroom cottage with a guest house (called Camp David) on Southport Island in the village of Cape Newagen. Built in 1928, this two-story, 2,500 square foot home is light and bright with lots of windows, a living room with cathedral ceiling and panoramic views. With 200+ feet on a beautiful and serene salt marsh that is fed by the tides, opens out to the ocean and includes tidal pools and a freshwater stream, your views will be constantly changing. The location and view of Newagen Cove are superb. The house is big and comfortable. The grounds are pretty and well maintained. We had three complaints. The main bedroom has large windows that face east (i.e. sunrise), but no shades or curtains. The pots and pans available for renters were inadequate, old, and dirty. We had a not-shy mouse visit us on our first night. Despite the complaints, we had a lovely week there.
