Located 1 mile south of Southwest Harbor, this cedar-shingled saltbox overlooks the harbor and mountains of Mt. Desert Island and is within easy access of Acadia National Park for all outdoor activities. Within walking distance of the island wide free shuttle bus. Handicapped accessible to the first floor, the house has three bedrooms, two baths, a study, and a great room with kitchen, dining, and living areas and outdoor deck. Lower level includes a game area with ping pong table, dart board, and double bed and access to the backyard. Ample storage for dog crates in the lower level. Shed available for bike storage.

Manset is the home of the famous Hinckley Boat Yard and some of the most beautiful views of Somes Sound, the mountains, and the waters of Mount Desert Island. Our cottage is within easy walking distance of the boatyard, the town dock, boat rentals, two churches and bus stops for the seasonal Island Explorer Bus.
The surrounding area of Mount Desert Island is rich with beauty and loaded with things to do. Hiking and biking on Acadia National Park trails, sailing, motor boating, beachcombing, swimming, rock climbing, golfing, whale watching, antique shopping and eating delicious seafood are among the many activities within a very short drive of Manset.
