We stayed at this villa for 5 nights and wished it had been longer. The accomodation is in very good condition andeverything is very clean. The garden and outside space although small is a suntrap. The only thing we found that was a small negative it was very difficult to find so make sure you have directions before you go. I think because we left 14 days before our stay the Email with directions arrived after we had left!!. The owners were very helpful and checked that everything was OK after we had arrived. The kitchen was very well kitted out with everything you could possible need to self cater. We couldn't fault anything really and would definitely go back here.

Thanks!!! The villa is great: confortable, modern, clean and fully equipped. A true Barbadian experience, far from big hotels and close to pristine beaches and nice restaurants.
Fantastic value for the accomodation. Anita is a great owner, ready to help and suggest.
Don't miss it!!! I will be back for sure...

This is our 2nd stay at Villa Carizma and it was just as wonderful as last year. We are already thinking of a two week stay for next year, because 10 days just isn't enough time here. We love coming back to the home after playing during the morning hours, and then during the heat of the day using the pass to Port St Charles Yacht Club for swimming, lounge chairs, the swim up pool bar, and sunset drinks. The Vcarizma has everything that we need for cooking, hanging around, and I am sorry to say... working for me. I couldn't do w/o the wi-fi to keep the rental properties I manage on the Oregon Coast booked and affording me income while away playing in beautiful Barbados. The nearby shops, grocery store, and restaurants/bars are just enough to keep us and our money local, without getting into the crazy touristy areas of the island. And my outdoor shower, just love it.
Dave & Anita are wonderful hosts, that have great locals tips and we love the new Carizma Cafe in Holetown. The taps night with music was fun and the food was wonderful. Some hosts just think of everything and they have it nailed down.
Last year we had arrived right after a tropical storm blew through the island and everything was a mess. Dirty streets, garbage piled in huge mountains waiting for pickup, no flowers on the trees/plants, the stores had limited amounts of fresh produce. This time it was just beautiful with all the flowers, nice clean streets, no garbage, tons of fresh produce from the island, (we recommend the stands for produce rather than the grocery stores), and the Bajans are the friendliest people to meet and talk with. We just can't wait to come back, a year is a long time away.

New Orleans, LouisianaLovely House on a Lovely Island
Left on 07/26/2011 for a stay in July 2011
We stayed at Carizma in July 2011 and had a wonderful time! The house is everything it’s advertised to be – lovely, comfortable, scrupulously clean, etc., etc. One of many pleasant surprises was the quality and quantity of cooking equipment (as a passionate amateur cook, having access to sharp knives and decent pans while on vacation was lovely). Another lovely surprise was the welcome stocking of the refrigerator with eggs, butter, milk, bread and even a couple of Banks beers! The owner who met us a the house could not have been more pleasant or helpful. The neighborhood is relatively quiet and it’s a short walk down the hill to Speightstown and Heywoods beach. Having Carizma as a home base definitely enhanced our stay in Barbados.

UNITED KINGDOMGreat Location, Great Villa, Great Holiday!!
Left on 06/07/2011 for a stay in May 2011
We spent 12 nights at Carizma with our two young children, 10 months and 6 years old. The villa is exceptionally clean, spacious with all mod cons. The open plan kitchen and living area meant our 10 month old could crawl around to his hearts content whilst we could cook, watch tv and keep an eye on him. The WiFi meant we could still Skype Nanny and Grandparents in the UK who were missing their Grandsons!!!
Having a hairdryer and beach towels provided was a great bonus as meant lots more room and weight available in our luggage. The kitchen is well stocked with cutlery and cooking pots/saucepans etc so when we did eat in on a few occasions it was very easy.
Carizma is in easy walking distance to lovely beaches, restaurants, Eddies and Jordans Supermarkets which had everything you would need for your stay. Although, the welcome pack provided meant we didn't have to panic and rush out straight away upon arrival to stock up on provisions.
Anita and Dave popped in to make sure we had everything we needed and if we had any questions. Anita referred us to a local taxi guy who we hired for a great tour to the North and along the East coast of the island, would definitely recommend him to anyone.
All in all was a fantastic holiday and I'm sitting here wondering when I can next jump on a plane and come back!!! -

From the moment we arrived, we realized anita and David had thought of everything. The refrigerator had some local beer, bread and eggs in it when we arrived, meaning we didn't have to shop the moment we got there. The closest beach, about 8 minutes walk, was beautiful and calm. Any time we had a question or needed some local recommendations, Anita was just a phone call away and always ready to help. If you want the quiet, cultural, lost in time aspect of Barbados, Carizma should, without a doubt, be your choice.

BoltonFabulous stay at Carizma!
Left on 06/09/2010 for a stay in April 2010
Carizma is a fantastic place to stay on the island. It is within an easy walking distance of one of the finest beaches, local bus routes and the shops in Speightstown. The villa is well equipped and the attention to detail is greatly appreciated even down to the owners providing beach towels, a great idea with the reduction in luggage allowance! We enjoyed cooling off in the outdoor shower after a day at the beach and relaxing having dinner al fresco on the balcony! Many thanks for a lovely holiday!
