San Francisco Bay Area, CAFelt like home & Gordan is an excellent host!
Left on 09/03/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Villa Marjan is one of the best places we've ever rented. Our group of seven (plus baby) were halfway through a two week trip and needed to recharge a bit. The three floors (including a rooftop deck) gave us plenty of space spread out. The beds were very comfortable, each bedroom had its own bathroom, and individually controlled a/c units were in every room. We all slept very well.
The amenities made it feel like we were staying at a friend's home - big dining room, full-sized refrigerator, large kitchen sink, stove, oven, charcoal grill, TVs, bathtubs, washer/dryer, desktop and wifi, etc. Everything was well-maintained and seemed fairly new. If it hadn't rained, the rooftop terrace would have been an excellent place to hang out at night, but the family room was a fine alternative.
The location is also fantastic and was easy to find using our GPS. It's a very quiet neighborhood and we were ready to be off the tourist path for a bit. A small grocery store and bakery are about half a block away. A bar/cafe was also in walking distance. The walk to old town took maybe 10 minutes and is very straight forward (you only need to walk to the end of the block, turn left, and follow the road...). The walk to the ferry dock on the other side of the old town took only 20 minutes and was also very easy.
Finally, the best part is probably Gordan. He was very easy to work with during the booking process and responds quickly to emails. Upon arrival, he spent almost an hour showing us around the house, giving us a lay of the land, answering questions about restaurants and the ferry, trying to figure out why my cell phone wasn't working, helping us call in a pizza order, etc. When we were leaving, he was very flexible about the baby's nap cutting into checkout time and saved us a heap of time by accompanying the drivers to the ferry dock so they could get the cars in line.
I feel very confident recommending Villa Marjan and Gordan for your future travels to Split! -

CalgaryWhen in Split...

you will do no finer than to book a few days at a Gordan Kragic property. 6 of us had the pleasure of booking Gordan's lovely vacation property situated above the old town in Split for our stay in July 2012. From the modern kitchen, to the spacious bedrooms and rooftop patio, we couldn't have asked for more. The property is well maintained, conveniently situated and I have no hesitation in recommending it to any other travellers so inclined.

Wolverhampton, United KingdomA good place to stay
Left on 06/22/2012 for a stay in June 2012
This is a very well kept and presented apartment situated in the old town of Split and close to all the restaurants, cafes and the harbour front of Splt. A good base for exploring Split and the surrounding area. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Supermarket and bakery is close by. Bedrooms are a good size and all have en suite facilities. Hot water system can be a bit 'cranky'. Excellent kitchen and dining facilities, including an indoor barbecue, that does work! If you like sunbathing the roof terrace provides good opportinties for this. Air conditioning throughout and computer facilities also available.
I really liked it and would book it again. -

Fairfax, VAAll the comforts of a beautiful and well organized home
Left on 08/31/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Our family of five delighted in this beautiful well situated luxury apartment. Spaciousness, decor, home equipment, location, views, peacefulness- everything was provided. The close by bakery, food shopping, restaurants, easy access to Marjan mountain & park for cycling, running, gorgeous beaches, and the daily short stroll winding through the most amazing little streets to the center of the splendid town of Split... was much fun and so appreciated. The crowning jewel was the rooftop terrace with unparalleled 360 degree views of the sea and mountains. We entertained local friends who were astounded by this apartment. This was the best vacation this family has had together.

Really lovely apartment. Large, airy and very clean. Very well equipped kitchen, beautiful lounge, superb bathrooms and our favourite place was the roof terrace where you could sit and watch the bright lights of Split with a glass of wine! Gordan the owner was charming and very helpful. We loved the whole experience and would recommend this to everyone who likes a little luxury and peace in the midst of a vibrant city like Split. Awesome!

Barrington Rhode Island USAAmazing place to stay while in Split

We were a family of five staying in Split for five days. Our stay at this apartment was lovely! The location was absolutely perfect and the layout, space and ammenities of it were wonderful. The owner couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. The rooftop terrace was a wonderful place to rest in the morning and evening and we enjoyed all of our activities in Split. We even visited the local fish market and grilled fish for dinner one night at the apartment. Easy to do with all of the necessary kitchen equipment. The washer and dryer were a great addition to the apartment as we were happy to do somem laundry before heading off on our trip. Our experience couldn't have been better.

Melbourne, AustraliaThe best accomodation experience we had in Europe...
Left on 10/03/2010 for a stay in July 2010
This huge, clean, modern apartment is a short stroll down to town, is very close to the neighbouring national park (well worth a trip), ten mins walk from the marina, one min walk to a supermarket, has simply amazing views from it's rooftop balcony, and was, quite honestly, the highlight of our recent European vacation. Fantastic kitchen and dining area and multiple balconies. The best thing about the place though, was the amazing service provided by Gordan. He was waiting for us on arrival and showed us through the apartment, he was on call as necessary when we needed advice about places to go and restaurants, he even helped us with medical advice when we had a health issue. He is an absolute classic of a guy, very funny and incredibly kind and generous. The apartment is well worth a stay you will not regret it.

Everything we needed was there :). Close to the town center. A small grocery store just 100m down the street.
