We stayed in Bruno's apartment for one week. It was very comfortable and everything was of a good standard.
It is in a good position. The Riva and numerous excellent restaurants are just around the corner.
Bruno is a genial host and is most anxious that you have everything you need to make your stay comfortable.
We would certainly stay there again. -

The owner Bruno did a great job of decorating this apartment. He seemed to have thought about many details about what a guest might need, from kitchen utensils to helpful maps and suggestions of activities to enjoy in Split. He made me and my girlfriend feel very welcomed. The only down side to this apartment is that its street address is a bit hard to find. Even locals a block away didn't know the street because it's so tiny. Draw a map for yourself with local landmarks and you should be ok.

Helsinki, FinlandJust perfect!

Everything about the apartment met or exceeded our expectations! The location was great close to the old town and the beach boulevard in a lovely neighborhood close to several good restaurants, a supermarket, a laundry and car rentals. We walked from the ferries/bus station with our luggage about 15 minutes to the apartment, which was easy to find.
The apartment was very clean and modern and had all we needed. A glimpse of the sea could be seen from all the windows and the steps were a great spot to look at the people passing by and the ferries coming and going.
We travelled with our one-year-old daughter, who was extremely warmly welcomed. A baby cot with pink sheets and even a teddy-bear which she loved to play with were waiting for her at the apartment. Bruno was a wonderful host and a very genuine person who made us feel at home.
We truly recommend the apartment for everyone looking for great accommodation in Split!Response from Bruno Horovic - 07/12/2012

Left on 06/21/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We were booked to stay 4 nights at Bruno's studio apartment but only stayed one and left fearing any more nights in the bed ( apart from not sleepling well) would have resulted in neck or back pain. There were two main problems which are not obvious from the photos. The bed is not a proper bed, it is not even a sofa bed but a modular lounge with a thin foam matress on top. It was like sleeping in quicksand. The pillows also are of poor quality. The other issue is the shower. It is a hand held shower over a very small bath with no screen or shower curtain so apart from having to hold the shower head while washing, the water splashes everywhere! Other things that made the stay unpleasant - no electric jug to make tea/coffee, no toaster, no cooking utensils ( only soup ladle), very small bath towels. On the plus side the place was very clean and spacious and when we complained he refunded our money.

Our apartment has modern bed with memory foam mattress & anti-allergic pillows, but I guess not everybody likes the memory foam. In the bathroom there is sitting bathtub (not shower tub) which doesn't need curtains where you can take a pleasant bath. Kitchen is fully equipped with oven/tempered glass stove, pouring hot/cold water at the sink. If it's important for guests to have some other equippment which thay can't find in the apartment we can provide them anything thay need during there whole stay because we have family house next to the apartment where we live so we are at guest service 24/7.
Finally if our apartment is disapponting for guests it's not problem for us to find and book for them another apartment in Split but in this case that was not possible because the couple decided not just to leave our apartment than Split too. We are sorry how this ended it's important for us that our guests are satisfied so that thay can fully sense the beauty of or town and country.

San Francisco, CaliforniaWell appointed in a Central Location
Left on 10/16/2011 for a stay in September 2011
The reservation request was promptly acknowledged and good directions were provided that made the place easy to find. The apartment was centrally located with easy access to ferries to other islands, restaurants, shopping and the Riva. Our host Bruno Horovic was very welcoming providing maps as well as suggestions for things to do and places to eat in the area. His willingness to share was a good complement to our guide book; he provide more current and updated information. The apartment unit was very clean and included nice kitchen amenities as well as a large flat screen TV in the bedroom.
Though we were advised that no laundry facilities were available with the unit, it was a disappointment to see a non-working washing machine in the place. (However, laundry facilities steps away proved to be a better deal. We were able to drop off, sightsee, and pick up a couple of hours later!)
Some guest may be put off by the entrance right next to a motor bike repair shop. The shop did not obstruct and the people seem friendly. Other than that I would highly recommend this place. -

LondonGreat apartment, great location, great value
Left on 09/18/2011 for a stay in September 2011
My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 days this September. The apartments are ideally situated a minute away from harbour, five minutes from the Diocletian palace and just round the corner from a couple of fantastic reataurants, a bar and decently sized market. The main beach (Bavice) is about a half hour walk away.
The apartments were clean and spacious with good facilities. Bruno was very helpful, providing us with a map, letting us store our luggage with him and change into our beach clothes when we arrived early prior to our room being ready.
We stayed in the studio apartment, which, although lacking a balcony like the apartment upstairs, was still airy and bright due to the large windows opposite the kitchen and sleeping area. This meant that the lack of an outside space was not a major problem, especially with the close proximity to the sea and amenities.
I would wholeheartedly recommend the apartman Bruno for those looking for a central self-catering apartment in Split with good amenities at a good price. -

From the second I left i wanted to come back. And on our way back home I tried to come up with the perfect mail to thank Bruno and tell him how his beautiful apartment made our 7days stay even lovlier. I didn't know where to start: with the splendid location in the old city, with the wonderful view of the port, with the beauty and coziness his apartment eludes, with the kindness and hospitability he and his wife had shown us. Yes, Bruno apartment is truly a gem on the adriatic shore.

We stayed for a week at the beginning of July, the apartment is in a great location. It just off from the Riva and nearby restaurants but still quiet, and it is a short walk to the ferries. Lovely large apartment with a/C which was very welcome. Great kitchen area with everything you could need. Bruno was very helpful and advised us on good places to visit and eat, and looked after our bags on the last day before our flights. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Left on 07/17/2011 for a stay in July 2011
We stayed one night at apartment Bruno, and highly recommend Bruno and his 2 apartments.
Unfortunately the top apartment was allready booked, and as we were only staying for one night, thought that it would be fine to take the bottom apartment, which did not have a terrace. To our surprise the bottom apartment had a large expanse of windows, which overlooked the bay, ferries and cruise lines. We enjoyed watching all of the comings and goings.
The apartment was very modern for Croatian standards, with a Plasma TV, stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, and nice decor throughout. The bedding was of very good quality, and the air conditioning very welcome, as the temperature rose to the very high 30's when we were there.
I thought the apartment was in a great spot, and an easy walk from the ferry terminal, along the front boardwalk to the apartment. It was very easy to find.
Bruno was great to deal with. He answered our emails very quickly, and with expert advice, we consider him the best. We arrived early in the morning, and Bruno offered to store our luggage, and asked us to return around midday, when he hoped the apartment would be ready. Upon our return , we found our bags were in the apartment, and all ready for us.
The kitchen was very well stocked, and perfect for a longer stay. As we were only staying one night, we made our own breakfast, and went out for dinner.
We consider the apartment Bruno to be excellent value when staying in Split. You could not get a better position, nor a better host. -

Sydney, AustraliaNice apartment very close to old town
Left on 06/28/2011 for a stay in May 2011
Apartment was nicely furnished, bathroom a bit small (not an issue). Position is great, within walking distance to all the sites and restaurants and we even walked to the ferry terminal with our luggage - not far at all. Bruno was very helpful and allowed us to store our luggage until our ferry departure time. Neighbours can be a little noisy as they like to meet on the corner of the house but that is only during the day (we were trying to have a rest after a day of travelling). Parking close to the apartment is impossible, we parked a few streets away and had to walk to find the apartment. Mush better without a car. Overall a good apartment and a very helpful owner.

Left on 06/27/2011 for a stay in June 2011
The location of the flat couldn't have been better- 10 minutes to ferries, 5 minutes to old town and 1 minute to a supermarket and restaurants. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay, including lots of kitchen implements.
Bruno was very friendly and helpful and even came to wash towels half way through our stay.
Only (small) downsides were that the towels were very small (bring your own for the beach) and the bed was too soft for our liking, however these are the only complaints we had. -

The apartment was well located and thoughtfully renovated - the windows have double glazing, the aircon works well and the furnishings tasteful but not extravagant: English TV, stove, fridge and washing machine. It more than met our needs and we had a wonderful week here - Bruno and Mrs Horovic are delightful - they went out of their way to accommodate our requests but they were never intrusive. Highly recommended.

Left on 10/27/2010 for a stay in October 2010
I am a blogger, so I will just copy and paste what I wrote when I was in Split:
"...I loved Bruno instantly. He was something out of an old movie. Cool and paced, with endless stories behind his eyes. Bruno welcomed us and took us immediately to our apartment. The apartment is amazing. I could live there. In the corner of an old stone building, the apartment had hardwood floors, white walls displaying beautiful art, mahogony moulding, an open kitchen, bathroom and dining room, a stereo and a flat screen TV. It was perfect. It felt like home."
Bruno was also a lovely host. He walked and drove with us to find good parking, he welcomed us into his world with stories and photos of growing up in Split. Meeting Bruno was one of the highlights of my trip. I would recommend staying here tenfold. You'll never forget Split, if you stay with Bruno. A beautiful experience. -

A very comfortable apartment in a lively part of the 19th century town, near to the sea, the touristic locations and shops (a 100 of meters!). The home was clean and well furnished and contained all essentials to live there, but we missed a terrace. The owner was helpfull, respecting our privacy at the same time.

Apartment is absolutely charming and ideally located; 5 minute walk from ferry or bus, 2 minutes to palace entrance and a stone's throw from the promanade. Top rated restaurant, supermarket, and laundromat just around the corner and bars within crawling distance. All this, yet no noise and totally peaceful. Hospital clean and roomy enough to stay a month or more. Bruno is awesome, with an office just to the back if in need of any assistance. For those that are extremely critical: First, you may want to bring your own towels; the ones provided are small and not very soft. Second, if you like long hot showers; tank's not going to last for two.
