If you are looking for a place enough far away from urban noise but close to its attractions and entertainment, or a place for truthful enjoy in Croatia's Dalmatian coast beauty and clear sea, then you've come to the right place for your holidays in Croatia.
Our family villa provides accommodation for up to 17 persons in exclusive apartments, or to be more precise entire floors of the villa for rent. It is only 100 meters from the beach, situated in Podstrana, a mixed residential and tourism area 6 kilometers south of the ancient town of Split.

Because the villa is situated in the center of southern Croatia (the region is called Dalmatia) and just 6Km south of the 1700 year old history painted town of Split, it will be the beautiful base from where you will explore the beauties of Croatia. Split is the center point for those exploring Croatia's romantic coastline and extraordinary islands like Hvar, Brac, Vis and Korcula. Visitors can spend days enjoying Split's romantic beach and shopping or venture just 30 minutes outside to the city of Trogir, a place showcasing cultural treasures from medieval times, or why not take a trip to explore the world-famous city of Dubrovnik.
In the evening, when the sun sets and you enjoy a cool breeze, you will have a wonderful view of the sea, Podstrana, surrounding islands and the lights of Split. Podstrana itself also has an old part of the village situated in the mountains with a splendid view of the whole area, most worth visiting. The nightlife is in Split, bars and cultural events in the 1700 year old Roman palace that is now the center of Split.

Our stay in Villa GG was amazing... Excellent location and beautiful villa. Clean, spacious and beautiful decor. We were 5 of us starting at the villa, and there was ample space for us. Very modern villa with high tech technology installed.
We will definitely be going back in the summer..
Highly recommended. The owner is a great host as well, and advised us on the best places to visit and see in split.

Whatever Grgg (owner) promised us, Villa GG was all that & more. I've never come across a host who is as detail oriented & welcoming as Grgg. Location, decor, comfort, hospitality...full marks of all counts!
Grgg even took us out sightseeing, introduced us to the local restaurants & bars. We had the most amazing time in Split!! I will surely visit Split again & when I do, I wouldn't stay anywhere else but Villa GG. -

A very good address; indeed, the apartment is very spacious, comfortable and the very considerable offered services (beach towels, parasol, laundry, household products) Furthermore, the owner and his family are very kind, welcoming, helpful and thoughtful (basket of fruits offered, souvenirs).
Most: the owner is a doctor (what is very reassuring with children)
The young less: the neighborhood a bit noisy (apartment of the top) -

Our Family of 5 spent 7 Glorious Days at this Beautifully Maintained Villa, Plenty of room for us all to have Space and Enjoy each other at the same time! Grgo is an Excellent Host and is above and Beyond anything we have ever experienced when renting Vacation Properties and we have Rented more than our share! I strongly encourage others to enjoy this amazing Place and Experience all Podstrana and the Dalmatian Coast have to offer!

Excellente semaine passée dans ce magnifique et confortable appartement de Podstrana. C'est un endroit idéal pour se reposer en famille(plage familiale à 2 minutes)et profiter des alentours : Le centre de Split n'est qu'à 15 minutes. Le propriétaire nous a très bien accueillis et fut de très bons conseils (restaurants, visites, activités). Adresse à recommander absolument !!

We stayed in the middle floor apartment for a week and loved it. It really does live up to the description in the listing: spacious, clean, with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The great TV was ideal for watching Olympic highlights after a long day exploring the local Podstrana beach attractions, or going further afield by hire car, bus or ferry to places suggested by Grgo, the owner: such as Hvar, Trogir, Omis, the National Park at Krk, the ruins at Salona, the Cetina river canyon, among others. So in the evenings we never got beyond the nearby restaurant, Amigos which was ideal for us. Grgo was business-like & friendly from the initial booking enquiry to our final departure. We had to wait for an evening flight & his family let us sit on their cool terrace instead of having to swelter in a crowded airport! Great place. Good people.

Having rented villas and apartments all over the world for the past twenty years, my family and I had the pleasure of staying in this apartment owned by Grgo Gunjaca in Podstrana - Croatia. Besides the excellent location and a clean, comfortable and tastefully appointed apartment; the personalized attention and hospitality offered by the owner Grgo; made this holiday our most memorable.
From when we first began communicating with Grgo by email; being welcomed to Podstrana with detailed itineraries and suggestions; to always ready to make last minute recommendations to suit our needs and being available 24/7; Grgo went far and beyond the pale to ensure we had a wonderful holiday in Croatia. I have already shared the details of this property and its owner with all my friends and relatives.

We stayed on the middle floor. The suite was lovely, very modern and exactly how I like things at home. The bathroom's to die for and I'm sure you could get 4 people in the bath! Beautiful, panoramic views over the adriatic from the balcony. There's stairs up to the apartment and the villa's on a hillside so not for everyone but OK if you're fit and healthy and like us, could do with the exercise. Split is a lovely resort with all the elegance of Italy, but at half the price. I would recommend this villa and resort.

Grgo welcomed us all on arrival and explained the amenities of the property and excursions which could be taken.
The property is spotlessly clean with everything needed for a great holiday.
The beach and sea are down the hill less than 10 minutes walk and there are several nice restaurants in the area.
Try amigos,Jures,San antonio and adjacent bar as well as
Leonis and Scampares on the marina.
The San antonio will allow you to use their shades and beds but you should buy drinks in reciprication. Daniel the beach waiter is friendly as well as the staff who will let you use the roof pool as well.
Split is a great city ,very safe and friendly and only 15 mins away on the bus. Restaurants are excellent!

The house (2nd floor) was very modern, spacious, clean, and had a spectacular view. The host was very friendly and helpful. The house was located outside Split and didn't have much activities nearby but surroundings were very peaceful and it was easy to get to Split and Omish (by bus or car).

Our extended family of 17, grandparents, teenagers, and young children included, had a wonderful stay at Villa GG this summer. This home has all the amenities of home with great location only steps away to Podstrana's beautiful beaches. The view of the spectacular adriatic coast from the villa balcony is priceless. Our family fit very comfortably here with plenty of beds and the most fully equipped home we've ever stayed in. There is no need to bring anything extra from home - this villa has it all!! We recommend this villa to anyone looking for the perfect stay for any family or group in one of the most beautiful places in the world!

Villagg is a very comfortable house situated on a pleasant beach with a wonderful view, where my husband, our children and I spent marvelous sunny days.
Mr Grgo, the owner of the property, received us with Croatian hospitality. He is a cultured and cordial physician, who speaks many languages and provides you with further information, tips, maps, guides so that you can thoroughly enjoy the region. His parents, who live downstairs, are extremely kind and willing to help you whenever you need.
We visited the most beautiful beaches nature can show and the local gastronomy is interesting with economic prices, all of this places Grgo gave the tips.It was amanzing.
Grgo took us to have a dinner in a restaurant in the mountain for delicious tipical food. We enjoy a dinner on the top of the world with a breathtaking view.
The house is very confortable. There is all you need. There is a splendid balcony where we could relax with a magnificant sea view.
The warm welcome family Grgo gave us, their tips and knowledge about the Croatian culture that made the whole difference in this trip.
We do recommend this place. It is really worthy. We are going to come back.

There is a place that some do say
the air is sweet and the night stars play
in the clearest skies above the calmest sea
the town called Split, is where my heart left me
when I drew a breath and took in its beauty
I had no idea what that horizon would do to me
to view the moutains, the sea and the the sun everyday
Podstrana is where my heart did sway
In a villa no less, above the the shore below
It majestically stood amongst the houses to show
the true alure and azur of the adriatic sea
Upon the balcony i dreamt in villa GG
Detail, attention, comfort and style
I cursed that my stay was only for a while
I loved the open space and privacy too
But the bathroom was the surprise waiting for you!
Its warmth, its character and that it is family run
Made you feel at ease, at peace and safe in the sun
Nothing is an effort and everything with a smile
Villa GG, was high standard by a mile!

What can I say more, everything is in the title.
It's just a very nice property (clean, functional, and big enough for our group), the owner was very helpful during our stay. The location of the house is quite good as well, as it's very close to Split and the beach is just 100m from the house.
And eating on the terrace with a magnificent sea view and sunset was just the icing on the cake. -

A group of 15 of us rented the middle and top floor of Villa GG. The website pictures of the property are a true likeness so this was a great place to stay, clean and extremely well maintained with Grgo making a further improvement every year.
Grgo makes the difference between just a nice apartment and an excellent holiday experience. He is willing to help with everything from activities to restaurants.

"My friends and I really enjoyed out stay in Villa GG . The villa is well situated in the small town of Podstrana, its only a few minutes walk to the beach and a local bakery serving good quality food, which was very handy. We found Podstrana to be a good location, it was equidistant from both Split and Omis, which we visited on several occasions and they provide a variety of daytime and evening activities/entertainment.
The Villa itself is spacious, well equipped and clean. The villa owner was very helpful during our stay, and throughout the week was conscious to make sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying the holiday. Useful recommendations were made for places to visit and eat out, which were needed as we didn't know the area. We particularly enjoyed eating at the restaurants in Podstrana that were recommended.”

I can warmly recommend the apartment, the difference from others is that you actual can see what it's looks like from their pictures. As good as it looks, you´ll See the same for real.
We were two family's in the middle apartment which have a fantastic view. For us with small children was it nice to be close to "your own beach”, where we most of the time where just us.
Grgo had above this a great service, a plus for us was that he can speak Swedish as well.
