      Almost like home

Left on 04/22/2013 for a stay in December 2012

I have stayed in 2 of the apartments available for rent - one in the O'Dell House and one in the Wakefield House. Both were very comfortable and well stocked with supplies and items of interest/amusement. I love the location - right next to Cheney Cowles Museum and walking distance to great eating. I really love just walking Browne's addition and looking at all the stately old homes/buildings. Then ending up at the Elk or Italia for some food.
Dale has made the rental process as smooth as can be. Both of our stays were in late December and we arrived to find our apartment heated and stocked with basic supplies. It was such a nice welcome. The kitchens are small, but they really do have a lot of storage space and just about all of the essentials. Loved apartment C in the Wakefiled House especially - so spacious! Even has extra beds available.

      Wonderful place to stay

Left on 09/05/2012 for a stay in August 2012

I grew up in Spokane Washington and my grandmother lived in the Browns addition. I moved away almost 40 years ago but have started returning in the last few years for longer stays as summers in Spokane are incredible. We travel all over the world and love finding local neighborhoods to explore. Last year we were fortunate enough to find the Odell and Wakefield house on line and spent three weeks at the Wakefield House. It was so great we booked a month this year in apartment C in the Odell house. Both apartments were like visiting our favorite grandmother's place. The kitchens are amazingly well stocked, they are the best equipped kitchens we have found. Whenever I was thinking, gosh I could use something, I would open a drawer and there it would be.
Dale and Rick are friendly, gentle, accommodating inn keepers who do a wonderful job of being available and not intrusive. Last year we mentioned how nice it would be to have a barbecue available and there it was this year.
The porch of the Odell House is incredibly special; it is the consummate spot to sip your morning coffee or your evening glass of wine, to read your book or just sit and watch the neighbors stroll by. It is perfect. We entertained several times while we were there and everyone fell in love with the neighborhood and our apartment. We even had a porch party for 25 and it was a huge hit. One day eight of our friends went on a bike ride with the fabulous vintage bikes that are available to guests. They had a blast.
I would love to keep this place a secret but we just can't and we are excited to return again next year!

      Always pleased with Odell House

Left on 04/07/2011 for a stay in April 2010

I've stayed at Odell House and other properties owned by the proprietor numerous times in the last three years. The Odell House is located in a historic neighborhood and is walking friendly. Dale goes out of her way to add touches she knows will please her guests such as fresh eggs from her own home and fruits from the Farmers Market along with local bread and fine coffee. There is a wide range of options for different price levels and number of guests. I am a satisfied customer and will return again soon.
