      Posh Wilderness Experience

Left on 12/05/2012 for a stay in December 2012

This is as posh as a wilderness lodge gets! The cabins are absalutely beautiful althought they look much bigger from the outside than in. My wife and I spent one night there with our little ones and had a fantastic time despite it being near zero and raining the whole time. The loft and downstairs bunk room are both good size but could have used a little more space in the livingroom and kitchen even for the one night we were there. There is no oven which is a little tough to find on the website (2 burners only). The cabin is heated by electric baseboard which quikly made it very toasty especially in the loft. I would recommend the first of the two cabins as the deck looked bigger.

      Wonderful log cabin

Left on 09/02/2012 for a stay in August 2012

We stayed there during the august long weekend together with our grandsons, although the rest of our family were in tents on a campsite. The only downside was that the queen size bed was accessed by a tall ladder but because my wife had back issues it would have been hard for her to get down on the ladder so we had kids in the queen size bed and we slept in the bedroom on the double bed.
We plan to rent it again for the august 2013 long weekend.

      A Perfect Weekend Getaway

Left on 07/28/2010 for a stay in July 2010

My husband, daughter and I recently stayed in one of the new Olympic Legacy cabins at Porteau Cove. We have always loved Porteau Cove for its spectacular location and scenery, but the addition of these gorgeous new cabins brought our experience to a whole other level. The cabins are so much more beautiful than we had anticipated, with hand carved detailing outside and a bright, clean, welcoming atmosphere inside. The cabins are very well equipped, with not a detail forgotten. We loved the spacious deck with patio furniture and barbeque, and the view from the deck was quite simply breathtaking. We enjoyed every moment of our trip and would stay again in a heartbeat. We have already begun recommending these cabins to our friends as the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of nature while maintaining all of the comforts of home.
