This fully renovated, Paris apartment, located on the 2nd French floor (no elevator/lift), redesigned by an architect, is a marvelous "pied-a-terre" in the Louvre area.
This furnished Paris apartment offers a beautiful combination of charming 18th-century spirit and contemporary necessities. The elegant and rich space is filled with an artistic blend of French styling and other aesthetic charms. The living room features an antique "bibliotheque directoire" and upscale furnishings. Three large windows make it very bright and sunny. Original features of this vacation apartment in Paris have been carefully restored, including original Pa...Read more

San Diego, CAExcellent apartment and location!
Left on 01/17/2013 for a stay in December 2012
The apartment is centrally located in Paris on the French 2nd floor with a full on view of the National French Bank. Even though you are in a lively area, the street is quiet and there is no noise at night. The apartment is cosy with all up to date appliances. I really appreciated the free wi-fi and free calling to the us. The greeter was informative and professional. I am very satisfied with the apartment, its appliances and the service that W2F provided. I would recommend this apartment to anyone!

Left on 01/10/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We rented this apartment with 2 young kids (2yrs+4yrs)
After our travelling we (especially 2 kids) need a quiet and relaxing space for sleep, luckily in front of this apartment was the bank so that we had a just perfect night there, slept very well !!
What a nice experience in the downtown of Paris. (Normally the downtown of Paris is quite noisy...)
and also location was very very very good, so that next day we had a nice time :-)
First of all, we started to buy some nice croissant, bread and some coffee at famous boulangerie (How tasty these all !) then, we went to Louvre museum and Jardin du Palais Royal to play with children, had nice lunch at famous bistro just next door.
*Around this apartment has lots of nice park, so children also can have fun!
For shopping was perfect too, Cool !! Place de Victoires, Place Vendome, Marais next door, St German 5-7mins by taxi.
We had so much fun about this trip!!
We found this trip has success because all of my family had fun, had good balance of life. That is quite rare when we stay in the heart of downtown (with children especially!)
love Paris! -

USATerrible Expierence
Left on 09/20/2012 for a stay in September 2012
I was highly dissatisfied with the apartment. Upon arrival on Sunday we discovered a large amount of water in front of the bath room sink. The water appeared to be coming from the back of the sink. I immediately notified alicia our contact, while she was still at the apartment. Alicia said she would take care of it right away.
Because of the large amount of water we could not use the sink, especially when it comes to using any electrical appliances as this would conduct electricity through the water and develop a sever shock. Water also seeped into the toilet area and we were forced to wear our shoes when using the toilet so we would not have to sit on the toilet with our feet in the water.
On Monday someone came and installed a small bucket under the leak. However did not solve the problem as we were out all day and by the time we returned at night the bucket was overflowing. We were forced to use the towels in the apartment to contain the water from flowing into the bedroom area.
Tuesday and the problem was still not fixed, still could not use that area.
When I returned to the apartment on Wednesday at 5:30 pm the area was a complete mess. The sink had been torn apart, tools and debris was everywhere, towels were soaked and there was no one there to talk to about it. I wanted to clean up and go to dinner, plus I needed to use the toilet. However all the water had been shut off, I could not even use the kitchen sink! I called alicia again and she said she would take care of it. About an hour later the plumber arrived and finally fixed the problem.
In summary of the five nights I was there I could not use the sink area for four of those nights or 80% of the time. On one day I did not have any water! This was a great inconvenience to me. I rented an apartment because I like the extra room and because of the water problem, dripping all night I had to sleep on the pull-out sofa in the living room. In addition alicia assured me someone would be in touch to talk about reimbursement for my trouble but I have not heard anything.Response from Welcome2France - 12/27/2012

Thank you for sharing your review. I apologize for the shortcomings you had experienced and the inconvenience you experienced with the small water leak under the sink in the bathroom. This type of issue is very rare since there are regularly maintenances over the year.
A technician came to look at the leak within 24 hours, order the replacing part and placed a recipient underneath for your comfort so you could still use the sink. As soon as the ordering part has been received, the technician fixed everything. I apologize that you returned to the apartment in the middle of the repair which I understand that bathroom can be messy at this time.
Recently, I have done full check-up maintenance and have done some improvements in the apartment. Our priority is your satisfaction and we strive to provide the best service as possible with the highest regards to quality and safety. While I understand that your stay was less than satisfactory, we would hope that you would give us another chance to make your stay as best as it can be.
Sincerely, -

Shanghang County, Chinacharming appartment in excellent location
Left on 08/25/2012 for a stay in July 2012
i have been serval times renting appartments in paris, which i find more confortable when staying for a week than the usual hotel small rooms. louvre palais royal is the best location i have been so far: a couple of minutes from the cour carree if the louvre, from the palais royal garden and walking distance to most of what i like in paris: notre dame, beaubourg, st germain des pres, opera...
the appartment has a large living space and with great height under ceiling, quite bright with view on old classical building. good bathroom. on the 2nd floor (no lift though). definitely a good place to be. -

Left on 12/01/2011 for a stay in October 2011
Absolutely delighted with the overall experience of staying in such a lovely apartment in a superb location.
However, there were a few challenges - initially with regard to checking in - partly due to our limited access to our online records plus an incorrect mobile contact number that meant when we arrived we could not communicate with the contact agent. However, after this was all sorted (thanks to some wonderful people staying in another apartment in the same building) we were looked after superbly. The apartment was beautiful - lovely space, light, generally good facilities. The washing machine did not have a nice personality - but hopefully this has been sorted out.
We loved the apartment and the access to everything it provided - our little home in Paris. -

We-two couples-had a great time. This apartment is realy around the corner at the Louvre, only a few 100 mtrs away, opposite of the Banque de France.
All you need for a comfortable stay is there.
The only inconvenience is that the bathroom is in the bedroom. Therefore our friends had to pass by at night in order to use the toilet etc. Probably no problem when you are staying here with your children.

We loved the location, but remember their 2nd floor means our (American) 3rd floor. The location of bathroom is not the best - in the master bedroom. But over all, it's was really nice and comfortable place. We will stay at this apartment again if we come back to Paris.

Worcester, Massachusetts (USA)A perfect location
Left on 01/21/2011 for a stay in January 2011
This trip was my eighth to Paris and this location was probably the best location of all places I have stayed. Although I had a metr? pass, I seldom had to use it because almost everything I wanted was within walking distance. From Charles de Gaulle airport I took the RER (high-speed rail) to Chatelet/Les Halles station, then walked the few blocks to the apartment. Because my flight was delayed a day I had to wait a bit for Jill to get me the keys but that was no problem. I had a coffee at one of the nearby bars and met her a little later. With the facilities there we were able to prepare major dinners for our French guests, only having to purchase a few items needed. We found the 2nd floor (3rd by american standards) to be fairly easy without an elevator. It was cold outside but the apartment was very well heated and the heat was controllable. With the two locked doors downstairs, the apartment seemed to be quite secure and we had no fears of theft. We had a problem with hot water in the kitchen and reported it. It was fixed within 24 hours of our arrival by a very courteous plumber. We know enough French that communication was not a problem. The one drawback for us was the internet service. It was spotty and slow. We think it was because it was not password protected and probably others were using the service but we are not sure. We did report it but later in our stay.

The only issues we had were the couch was uncomfortable
and there were no knives for cooking. We fortunately had brought our own.
Other than that we would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a great central location with a good, workable kitchen and easy arrival and departure. -

Sacramento, CaliforniaWe were not satisfied with the apartment for various reasons.
Left on 10/29/2010 for a stay in October 2010
The apartment was not quite what we expected when we arrived. The web site pictures do not show how many steps there are getting to the apartment. I believe the web site stated the apartment was on the second floor. The reality is the apartment is closer to the third floor with 50 steep stairs to climb. I am 68 years old and my wife is 65 years old. We are both in good condition were able to pack two 24" suitcases and other luggage up the stairs. I believe many people older and even younger could have a very difficult time without someone to help. The bathroom, bedroom, family room and kitchen was good. The apartment did not have any paper towels or wash cloth in the kitchen. There were six light bulbs burned out throughout the apartment. None of these supplies were anywhere to be found. Finally, the most depressing thing occurred on our last day. For two days prior to our final day, we heard loud banging in the apartment above us. We left to go to dinner and when we returned, everything was quiet. But on our last day, we returned in mid-afternoon to pack and clean up. We were also going to be inspected by the person from Welcome to France. When we arrived at the apartment, the banging was quite loud and black ash was coming down the chimney onto the floor and rug. I called Welcome to France immediately and they came right over. A workman was upstairs redoing an apartment and did not realize the damage he had done.

The apartment was just the right size and location for our 20th wedding anniversary trip. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The metro is also quite convenient. We had enough room to host a friend who stayed for a couple of nights and to have some family over for dinner. The only one problem we noticed is that one of the couches loses its stuffing so it was a little messy. September had perfect weather for Paris.

We all loved the flat. It looked just like the photos on the website. It's around the corner from the Palais Royal and it's beautiful garden (take advantage of that when you need a quiet moment). A very short walk from the Louvre. Close to metro stations. Near the fun hustle and bustle but quiet at night since it is across the street from Banque de France which takes up the entire block. Couldn't asked for a better flat and location. Small markets and pastry/bread shops around the corner. We highly recommend. Would definitely stay here again. The only negative was that the phone on which we were supposed to be able to call internationally for free did not work - we called us twice and the receiving party could not hear us. If you arrive by train (Eurostar), we would also recommend just getting a taxi at the train station instead of hiring ahead of time. The cost was 60 Euros to reserve, but catching a taxi from the station to the flat is only 11-15 Euros. Even if you need 2 taxis with luggage, it is cheaper. Overall, it was fantastic!

Works well for 2 adults and 2 children. Would not work for 2 couples since the bathroom is inside the bedroom in an open space except for the commode. Tv service was not easy to use (2 remotes, one of which did not always work).Very well appointed with all needed amenities and easy access to Metro, etc.
