1st Arrondissement Louvre, Ile-de-France (Paris Region), France
What's Nearby:
Additional Location Information
This part of Paris has nearly no equivalent when speaking about location and proximity of centers of interest. Right in the1st arrondissement, in between the "place de la Concorde" theOperaand theLouvre, the apartment is surrounded by History.
Here culture meets the business sector. The area is ideally located for work as many companies and banks are based there or within a short distance. Four of the besthotels in Parisare right nearby, the Crillon, the Ritz, the Meurice and the trendier Hotel Costes.
Already very important during the three centuries before the French Revolution in 1789, this part of Paris has always developed and evolved. In the 16th and 17th century the "Jardin des Tuileries" and the "Place Vendôme" were created. Minor changes to the streets occurred later, for instance "rue de la Paix" (originally "rue Napoléon") was built at the beginning of the 19th century. The rue Saint-Honoré was known as been a place where all ranks of nobility and rich Parisian families found their suppliers since the 16th century. Nowadays the places and people have evolved, but the trend is the same. Except for Sundays, when all shops are closed, the area is always busy and lively.
With all this History what we now have is an amazing architecture and museums. All the streets in the neighbourhood have a very specific theme, the buildings all present a harmonious architecture and design and most of them if not all are of historical importance.
The "Jardin des Tuileries" itself is another piece of History, and in addition to its green area it offers a couple of museums (Le Jeu de Paume and l`Orangerie). Through this garden, and thanks to the Passerelle Solférino, it is easy to access the museum of Orsay, whereas within a short walking distance one also reaches the Louvre. For more theatrical entertainment the "La Comédie Française" and the Opéra Garnier are also very close by.
The nearest metro stations are Tuilerie (line 1) and Concorde (lines 1 and 12)

The appartament is perfectly located, you can reach most common attractions by short walking, I fact we use underground very few times in a week.
The apartament needs some impovements, specialy the mattress and smalls details.
The shower is good with good pressure (not easily find!).
The rental process is a little complicated but we don't have any issue. -

The location of this apartment was outstanding. The apartment was spacious and well equipt. I would suggest new mattresses and maybe new kitchen equiptment (cups, knifes etc - the ones available is a bit tired).
Halldis as the rental agency was outstanding. -

Manager
Gentile Kiki,
Cecilia

Left on 06/20/2011 for a stay in June 2011
This apartement is great! Located in the heart of Paris, it is also in a fifth floor but that not a problem because it have an elevator (max 225kg). Inside the apartment it has everything you need, the only thing we found unconfortable was the sofa/bed it makes a lot of noise when you move and it is very thin. The service from Hallis was great the person that received us was very kind an punctual as well for the checkout. Internet works great, the TV was kind of boring not HBO or sport channels, but who cares you are in Paris you are not suppose to watch TV lolol. I will highly recommed this place and Hallis as well!!!

It is a fairy tale come true to stay in a 1er arrondissement in Paris. Beautiful and quiet neibourhood yet convenient with cafes and shops, not to mention transport. Try Paris bus. It is awesome, not crowded and certainly with view. I wish I could go back there again.

Great location, a smallish apartment, although perhaps not in Paris. Can sleep four, but best for two as bathroom is off bedroom. Good facilities and well looked after by the manager. Hard to imagine a smaller lift, but beats climbing all those stairs every time.
