Newly refurbished (April 2013) top floor apartment with elevator and air-conditioning; close to the Seine in the centre of Paris; within walking distance to the Louvre and other major tourist attractions.

Situated on the highest floor of a 19th century freestone building just steps away from the river Seine at Pont Neuf - the oldest bridge along the Seine. Bathed in light, the apartment offers a clear vista of the surrounding roof-tops and magnificent monuments. The Eglise Saint Eustache, Sacré Coeur at Montmartre and Saint Sulpice are all in view along with the statue of Henry IV on Pont Neuf, right in the middle of the beautiful Sein...e. Nightfall presents you with a spectacle of the top of the glittering Eiffel Tower whilst you are enjoying your evening meal in the dining room or sipping a cocktail on the sofa. An elevator brings you up to this 75 m2 (800 ft2) apartment beautifully decorated with period furniture and artwork. Many interesting cafes, restaurants and shops await your discovery in the vicinity and a few minutes’ stroll will bring you to the Louvre and other Parisian attractions.

Living/Dining Room

Relax in the spacious living/dining area with beautiful views out of the windows or be entertained by more than 100 cable channels on your flat screen HDTV including English channels such as CNN, BBC World, Skynews, etc. Dock your iPhone or iPod on the stereo sound system to enjoy your favourite music while you reflect on the day’s outing or plan the next exciting visit. The high quality sofa bed in the living room has a thick double bed mattress which can sleep 2 adults comfortably. A mobile air-con unit helps to keep cool during those warm summer months.

2 Bedrooms

The beautiful master bedroom has a double bed and is decorated in beige with silk cushions and antique lithographs of floral species. The second bedroom in restful blue with taupe silk cushions and water colour paintings of Imperial Chinese Robes has 2 twin beds which can be arranged separately or set together to form an extra-wide queen bed. Both rooms have a full wall of closet space and plenty of clothes hangers. There are mobile air-con units in both bedrooms for a cool sleep in summer.

2 Bathrooms, 2 Toilets

One large bathroom with a rain-forest overhead shower, toilet, sink, heated towel rail and lots of cabinet and vanity top space. There is also a washing machine and a separate dryer so you do not need to bring along so many clothes. The second bathroom has a rain-forest overhead shower, toilet, heated towel rail and wash basin. Both bathrooms have enormous hot water tanks which allow for consecutive showers comfortably.

You have all that you need to cook a simple meal or whip up a celebratory dinner in this very bright kitchen fully equipped with

Musée de Louvre (6 min) to admire Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.

Georges Pompidou Centre (8 min) which houses the Musée National d'Art Moderne, the largest museum for modern art in Europe.

Jardin du Palais Royal (10 min), a peaceful garden oasis in the middle of the city.

The beautiful Tuileries Gardens (12 min) and The Orangerie (where you can admire Claude Monet’s water lilies).

Along the Seine river bank to the Notre Dame Cathedral (13 mins).

Musée d’Orsay (20 min) which houses the largest collection of impressionist and post-impressionist masterpieces in the world.

Along the broad Avenue de l’Opera to the Opera Garnier (22 min) of The Phantom of the Opera fame.

Along the shopping street of Rue Saint-Honore to Place Vendome (18 min).

From the bus stop at the junction of Rue du Pont Neuf and Rue de Rivoli, take:

Line 72 to Trocadero/Pont d’Iena to view the Eiffel Tower in all its splendour

Lines 21 and 81 to Opera Garnier and the “grands magasins” – the big department stores of Galeries Lafayette and Printemps

Line 58 to the chic Saint-Germain des Pres and Jardin du Luxembourg on the left bank

Line 67 to Pigalle for your Montmartrobus to the Sacré Coeur at Montmartre.

  My husband and I spent five days in Paris, and this apartment allowed us to walk to many of the major museums and tourist attractions; it is also well connected in terms of subways and busses (good connections to Charles de Gaule airport too). Very conveniently, there are many good restaurants and brasseries within a block in every direction of the flat. The apartment is very elegant and at the same time has a cozy atmosphere, tastefully decorated with Persian carpets, French renaissance furniture and nice paintings s on the wall. A delightful stay, that made us feel Parisian for a few days!
