A lovely, detached cottage in Staffin, on the Isle of Skye, sleeping six in three bedrooms. Lag-Uaine is a detached cottage in the seaside village of Staffin, northern Skye. With three bedrooms, a ground floor double with en-suite shower room, and a first floor double and twin this cottage sleeps up to six. There is also a first floor family bathroom. A kitchen with dining area and two sitting rooms complete this accommodation. Outside, there is off road parking for three cars and a lawned garden. With the only sandy beach in north Skye, and great walking nearby, Lag-Uaine can be enjoyed all year round.

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

We love Skye but have always loved passing through Staffin. This year we decided to stay in Staffin for the week as I have been unwell. It was the best holiday the sun shone for the whole week, the holiday cottage had everything you could possibly need. Our pup had a great time chasing rabbits as we sat on the patio. The cottage itself was spotless and there was a small campsite outside our garden gate so watching the coming and going was interesting. The owners popped in to see that all was ok. Hope to do this again and I would recommend ths cottage to anyone.

We stayed here for four nights in November. The house is in a great location set back off the main road in its own gardens. It was very quiet and peaceful.
The facilities in the house were all modern, with a well equipped kitchen. All rooms were spotless and well presented.
The house has two sitting rooms, one downstairs with a TV/DVD player, and a second room upstairs off one of the bedrooms with sofas and board games.
At the back of the house, there is a larged covered area that can be used to store and lock up bikes if you cannot fit them all in the porch.
The house is well located on the island with the Quiraing and Storr nearby, and Portree a short drive away. The village of Staffin also has a couple of local shops, but its only a short drive to Portree where there is a good sized Co-Op. Its a good base for walking and cycling, or for reaching other areas of the Island by car or bus.
The house has a modern oil fired central heating system that warms up the house very quickly.
I would certainly recommend this house to friends and family, and would return if I visit Skye again in the future.
I booked this house through Sykes Cottages who provided a very good service, and helped me choose this house after my first and second choices were not available for short breaks. -

The house is adjacent a campsite, which you see from the front windows, but has its own garden. As we had been camping and came here for a bit of comfort this was fine for us.
The location in the north of Skye was really good - lovely walk in the mountains.
The houses facilities were better than described - a washer-dryer proved very useful. Some lovely touches in the bathroom. Be prepared there is no mobile signal and the local shop is closed Sundays.
