This single-storey cottage sleeps two people in the North York Moors village of Staithes. Grimes Nook is a terraced cottage in the seaside village of Staithes. This all ground floor cottage sleeps two people in one double bedroom and also has a shower room and an open plan living area with kitchenette, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove. Outside there is a small front sitting area with bench and parking is in a nearby car park. Grimes Nook is an ideal romantic retreat in a lovely area, with the North York Moors, Whitby and Scarborough all well worth exploring.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

We travelled with friends who occupied Grimes Cottage above us, Grimes Nook is a beautiful, quaint cottage with everything you will need. the bed is extremely comfy and there was a lovely welcome pack of teas/coffee. We enjoyed the pubs in Staithes and the walks along the Cleveland Way were picturesque. Staithes is a lovely place but we did find a couple of locals to be quite rude to visitors staying in Staithes. The Cod and Lobster is a good pub as is The George, food is better in Cod and Lobster. We return home with tired legs and 2 very tired dogs looking forward to a return trip in the not so distant future.
