Halifax Nova ScotiaVery nice cottage, and the hosts made it extraordinary.

We spent a week at the cottage in early July. The cottage is very nice, with everything you could want, and spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The closest I could get to a complaint is that our bed was a bit less plush and comfy than our pillow-top at home. But we had good-quality furnishings and appliances, and the lay out was comfortable. The wifi was a bit spotty and slow, but that's not such a bad thing when you're on vacation. :-)
We were a little worried about noise, given the surrounding private cottages, as well as several others with the same property, but the setting was serene and our neighbours considerate. We even saw foxes a couple of times. The location is terrific; we brought our bikes and were very close to the national park beaches, and no distance at all from a waterfront stroll. Luke also offered us the use of a park pass during our visit, which saved us money. We had reason to go to Charlottetown several times, and it's a short half-hour drive once you master the various highway numbers.
The Liu family made a good experience an exceptional one with their sincere and warm hospitality. I had asked a couple of questions before arrival about facilities, and they welcomed us with an anniversary card, the use of a beautiful tea set, and a gift of Chinese tea. Grace babysat our kids when we went out for an anniversary dinner, and she taught them a few words in Chinese--they will never forget her! Of course their care shows in the maintenance of the facilities, but they treated us with such graciousness.
I hope we stay with them again soon. -

Arrived the same day as Tropical Storm Irene - but luckily didn't feel much of the effects. We travelled with our 2 teenage sons and my mother. We were blown away (no pun intended!) by how beautiful and clean the cottage was. Literally 5 minutes to a beautiful beach - but we should have taken bug spray as the mosquitoes were very hungry! We didn't get a chance to use a lot of the amenities, ie the barbecue or the patio set, but we loved having a washer and dryer. We can't wait to come back.

BurlingtonWell-equipped cottage and helpful hosts

Susie (owner) was very helpful with information about the area, tips on good restaurants, things to see. Mervin (owner) took care of maintenance issues in a timely manner.
Our cottage (#32 Stanhope cottages) was well-equipped and clean.
Comfortable beds, roomy kitchen.
'Sleeps 6' but seating in the living room area for four only.
Privacy blinds on many windows, but not on the french (glassed) entry door which does make you feel somewhat on display.
In all, a newer, well-equipped and comfortable cottage not far from Charlottetown and very close to biking/walking trails, parks and the beach!

We rented this cottage two years in a row and weren't disappointed either time. The cottage was immaculate, it had everything we could want and gave us the space to relax as a family. It was only a few minutes walk down a lane to the beach although you could hear the surf some evenings. Three minutes away by car is a restaurant in one direction and a golf course in the other. This cottage set a standard for us that is hard to beat. Susie was friendly and accommodating although we really didn't even have to make any requests. I recommend this cottage!
