This beautifully decorated 2BR, 2 bath Villa is situated on 3 private acres. It is decorated with a lovely Island flavor, with colorful Art work, antiques and collectibles. The house is perched on the highest hill in the area, and because of it's unique round design and many large windows facing all directions,it has magnificent unobstructed views of the whole island and the incredible multi-hued waters of The Bahamas. Staniel Cay is a beautiful small Island in the Central part of the Exuma chain of islands of The Bahamas, about 60 miles southeast of Nassau. The Exuma chain of Islands is about 100 miles long, and has an island about every 1/2 mile, most of which are uninhabited. Staniel Cay is located in the middle of the Exuma chain, and has a 1/2 dozen beautiful beaches. Astronauts circling the earth have taken pictures for National Geographics, and labeled the Central Exumas as having the most beautiful waters on Earth. Staniel Cay has it's own Airport that has daily scheduled service from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Nassau, Bahamas. It's not the easiest place to get to, but that is one of the things that makes it so special. Nearby, you will find caves for exploring and snorkeling, such as the world famous "Thunderball Grotto" featured in the James Bond movie "Thunderball", many close by deserted islands with beautiful beaches, and some Islands inhabited only with swimming pigs, and some with Iguanas. There is great fishing of all kinds in the area. Besides all the fun things to do, most of all it is a great place to relax and enjoy the Sunrises and Sunsets from your own private decks at your home, "Swept Away", or from the Staniel Cay Yacht Club, and to just enjoy the peace and tranquility and all of the beauty of nature of the Bahamas.

MINIMUM STAY, 1 WEEK. Weekly Rate is for 2 people, and it includes the use of a Golf Cart at no extra charge. Any additional persons are $150 per week, 10% discount for stay of 2 weeks or longer.

"Swept away" is beautiful, just the right size, and very well equipped. We loved all of the views, the fact there is always a breeze, and it's a great location It was the perfect house for our vacation on Staniel Cay. It is very clean and clearly well looked after. The temperature outside was in the 80s , and we never turned the aC on, because the ceiling fans in every room were so effective. The kitchen is beautiful and very well equipped, including a dishwasher! The living room is bright and airy with sliding glass doors, and windows all around. Internet and Sat TV were easy to use (not that we had time for that). The two bedrooms and two baths worked out well for our group which consisted of two couples, each with private decks and gorgeous views. The location is great in that it is quiet yet everything is still close. Barry was very helpful, and another big bonus is the golf cart that comes with the house.
But...the best part is the views from the wrap around second Floor porch which allows sunrise views in the morning and sunset views in the evening.
Cant wait to go back! -

"Swept away" is the type of place you hope to find on a vacation. My husband and I stayed there for the two weeks around Thanksgiving. The owners, Barry and Suzanne, happened to be on the island for a friend's wedding which was an added bonus as they are both gracious and helpful. The house has everything you might want (except a washer and dryer but it's very simple with the good weather to hand wash and hang on outside line.) The kitchen is well stocked. The views from the porches provide wonderful views of sunrises and sunsets; the house setting provides privacy. We loved it!
