Ellie's Spa Cottage is a delightful romantic holiday cottage situated right in the heart of the beautiful historic seaside village of Stanley. It features a double corner hydrotherapy massage spa with toiletries, candles and soft towels provided, and a lovely bedroom with a pillow top queen size bed fitted with quality pillows and bedding.

The well equipped kitchenette / dining features Tasmanian Blackwood timbers, and the lounge area has quality leather recliners, an electric log heater for warmth and charm, reverse cycle air con., flat screen TV, DVD and CD player plus a good selection of DVD's and books.

The Spa Cottage comes... all inclusive with generous continental breakfast provisions, port, Tasmanian chocolates, plenty of soft towels and linen, toiletries and candles.

The Spa cottage is close to all the lovely cafes, restaurants and shops, and only a leisurely 200 metre walk to beautiful sandy beaches, and clear blue ocean.

There is a private off street car park.

Stanley is well known for its beautiful cafes and restaurants, specialising in local seafood and prime beef and lamb. For the golfing enthusiasts just a short walk from the accommodation is a nine hole golf course right on the waterfront, with golf clubs for hire. Stanley boasts great fishing, with Fishing Charters operating from the wharf on demand, also providing rod hire.

Wildlife is in abundance in Stanley, with both seal cruises and penguin tours operating. The Nut chairlift is a must do while in Stanley, where you will be 152m above sea level, with awesome views, the Stanley Seaquarium is fantastic for both adults and children alike to get hands on with our local sea life. There are historic homes in Stanley which are open for public viewing, including Highfield House and Joe Lyons cottage. There are majestic falls close by, and river cruises, and just a 30 minute drive will take you to Tarkine Forest Adventures, with the longest slide in the world !! Stanley is an historic seaside village, set out on a 7 km peninsula, surrounded by pristine beaches and ocean. There are lovely cafes and restaurants specialising in local produce. Stanley is close to the Tarkine rainforests. Do a self drive through the Tarkine to get the feel for this magestic area. Both seal cruises and Penguin tours operate in Stanley, as well as excellent fishing charters. The icon of Stanley "The Nut" is a 152 metre high monolith, with a chair lift operating daily to the summit. Stanley has a superb 9 hole golf course, excellent fishing, and lovely historic buildings to explore.

  What a great way to take some time out away from the hustle and bustle of life! Ellie's was a haven of calm away from the pressures of the working week. My husband and I travelled to Stanley for some R & R and certainly found it in this quaint cottage right in the centre of Stanley, close to the hotel and many interesting shops to browse through at our leisure. Nestled at the foot of the Nut, we could not have asked for a more relaxing two nights. Our explorations through the day, both around the town, and further afield were only enhanced with a luxurious spa, complete with candles and huge fluffy towels, to unwind at the end of a busy day. We highly recommend this getaway to anyone wanting to escape for a few days...we can't wait to return.
