We booked this cottage at short notice as a result of a special offer, the 5 nights we stayed was in mid March when the Dales were covered in deep deep snow. The central heating meant that we woke up to a lovely warm cottage and more importantly after a days walking in the snow covered Dales meant that we walked into a wonderfully cosy home.
If walking is your thing, you do not need to move your car: Walks up and over Buckden Pike and a visit to the Buck Inn; Little & Great Whernside then back via Kettlewell where there are 3 pubs to chose from. Over Firth Fell to Litton (Queens arms) and arncliffe (the Falcon Inn) or along Langstroth Dale to The George at HubbleHolm and The WhiteLion at Cray. Or just a short stroll up or down the Wharfe along the Daleside Path. The Fox and Hounds in Starbotton provide fine food and ale.
