We stayed at The Villas at Walton Creek Jan. 11 thru JAN. 14, Leaving on Jan. 15. We enjoyed staying there as always but this was most likely the nicest condo that I have ever had and I have rented many. Everything in it was 1st class, two of most everything in the kithen. Also, this was the first condo that was on the first floor; no climbing stairs for an old man like me. It sure was nice coming in after skiing without having to climb two flights of stairs. This is one nice condo and everyone enjoyed it so much. If prices do not go up much next year, we will be back. I cannot remember when I first stayed at these condos but we have enjoyed staying there very much. What is so nice is that they are not far from the bus stop and easy to drive to when coming in to Steamboat. We drove in this year and I believe that finally I am getting to know how to get around by driving and not riding the bus everytime. When one rides the bus which is very effecient, one does not pay that much attention to where it goes; I am usually half asleep. We always enjoy Wynona's so much and so happy that they are now staying open for dinner or supper, which ever. We have never had a bad meal there and i always take my friends there first. Unfortunately we cannot say the same about the Smokehouse. We always ate there but last year it was the pits. The barbeque was not good and very little of it. The beans were not cooked, they wre crunchy which turned me off so we will not go there anymore. The sandwiches were much smaller than before and they were stingy on the meat......the prices also went up. Ususlly one could hardly eat one sandwich but I went out hungry the last time. We were told that management had not changed but I cannot believe it because there were people there that we had not seen before.
