Clean. Well maintained. Very well equipped unit. Great beds. 45 second walk to the free shuttle. Under 5 minute shuttle to the gondola. Great hot tubs at complex. Would definitely rent again!

The condo we rented in Steamboat for December was incredible. Clean throughout, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and spacious. All rooms, the kitchen and the bathrooms were well appointed. Great location in relation to the mountain. The property sat on two bus stops that were free to get to the mountain and downtown. The condo was also steps from the hot tub and laundry room.

The Rockies has everything you are looking for if you are in Steamboat to enjoy skiing. Yes, the property is a bit dated, but we could live with this, especially with the convenience to Gondola Square.
Condo: The condo is a bit dated, but comfortable and that is what mattered to our family. The unit is two bedroom (both queens) and two baths. The living room has a sofa sleeper. Towels are clean and plentiful. Separate towels are provided for the pool/hot tub area. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances (microwave, electric range, refrigerator and dishwasher, coffee maker and toaster oven) with cookware, dishes, glassware and utensils. Our family of 5 (parents and 3 boys - 21, 14 and 12) had everything we needed.
Location: There are two Purple Line bus stops at the condominiums. The buses run every 20 minutes from 7:52 (Rockies 1)/7:54 (Rockies 2) until the last drop off @ 5:52/5:54. Don't worry if you just missed the bus. You can actually walk to Gondola Square before the bus will arrive at the Transit Center! The bus stops at the hospital and Central Market Plaza (Wal-Mart, City Market, Central Park Liquor, Blue Sage Pizza, Qdoba) before looping back to the Gondola Transit Center. A Sports authority and Christy Sports are within walking distance of this stop.
You can walk to the Transit Center to get the evening bus into the downtown area. We never did this.
Tips
We rented our skis/snowboards through Steamboat Ski and Sport. Our youngest son's skis rental was free with my husbands (rentals for kids 12 and under are free with a 3 day rental). They also allow you to store your rental skis/snowboards overnight at no charge. They rent Rubbermaid bins to store your boots/shoes during the day and your ski/snowboard boots overnight. The cost is $5/day for a small bin and $7/day for a large bin. The large worked for 3 adults and 1 child. We simple left our skis/snowboards/boots at the end of the day and walked home.

After staying in dozens of condos over the years, this one was the best one yet! It was absolutely everything it said it was and more. Convenience was second to none as well as comfortable and clean. So many are listed as terrific but when you get there you are surprised that they come up short. This Rockies condo lived up to its description. Nearby restaurants and shops were easy to get to as well as good quality. We had a wonderful stay and will be coming back often. We would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for quality, price and convenience all in one package.
