The NEW Phoenix at Steamboat has been considered one of the finest locations for families, ski groups, reunions, and business retreats for over 25 years. Situated directly across the street from the Steamboat Ski Area, The Phoenix is the perfect winter vacation destination. Walk to the gondola, the kids vacation center, base area shops and restaurants, and more. These beautifully furnished condominiums offer floor plans from spacious four-bedroom layouts to more intimate two-bedroom units. Enjoy the outdoor heated pool and hot tubs after your daily Steamboat adventure. The renovation of the Phoenix continues in 2012 with the attention now mov...ing to the remodeling of the front desk and clubhouse. The new clubhouse will feature a remodeled exercise facility, guest lounge with comfy seating and large flat screen TV, and a business center with complimentary internet access. Mountain Resorts offers winter shuttle service for guests of The Phoenix for trips to the grocery store or downtown Steamboat Springs.This Four Bedroom condominium has a two level floor plan. There is seating for eight at the dining room table and an additional four at the kitchen counter. There is also air conditioning in that area. The living area has a 32" flat screen TV with a DVD and a stereo with an iPod dock, a ceiling fan, gas fireplace, private balcony and a queen size sleeper sofa. Two of the bedrooms are on the main level and the other two are upstairs. The first main level bedroom has a pair of twin size beds and a 20" TV with a DVD player. The second bedroom has queen size bunk beds. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a king size bed, a 28" TV, air conditioning and a ceiling fan. The fourth bedroom has a queen size bed, air conditioning and a ceiling fan.This property is professionally managed by Mountain Resorts, Steamboat's Vacation Expert and the largest locally owned property management company in Steamboat Springs. Our professional front desk staff is available to our guests every day, and check-in is available 24-hours a day in our conveniently located welcome center on Mt. Werner road. We have housekeeping services and a maintenance department should you need assistance with anything at your rental property.   Our family of 8 stayed in P206 at the Phoenix for 5 nights in February 2013. Pros: Easy walk to gondola, and you can ski most of the way back. Good-looking furnishings and comfortable beds. Secure storage in garage for skis. Responsive shuttle. Friendly front desk, and a nice game room that can be reserved for private gatherings. Well-equipped kitchen. Cons: You must climb 2 flights of stairs to reach unit, and cross a road to reach resort. Not much square footage or space to store gear, so the place was hard to keep tidy. We'd keep ski boots in garage if it were heated, but it's not. Kids enjoyed the pool, but the hot tubs were jammed so I avoided. Overall, we had a great time in Steamboat, and I'd stay at the Phoenix again as the price is right, and you don't have to rely on a shuttle to get to and from skiing. We loved apres ski gatherings in the game room. But, if you want more spacious surroundings and don't mind shuttling to and from the slopes, there are probably better options in this price tier.

  Thank you for your review of The Phoenix, we're so happy you enjoyed your stay. We are very close to the ski area so either our shuttle or a quick walk will get you there, I'm glad you found the path. The only item to note is the heated garages.
