We stayed 3 nights at The Ranch. The check-in and check-out was smooth and handled well. The beds were comfortable and the unit was well kept and clean. It was a great stay, and for the price I should have given it 5 stars. The only reason I didn't was due to the comparison of staying at another place in Steamboat a few years ago that was a duplex instead of quadplex unit. The other unit a few years ago had heated driveways, no one above you, more solid building construction, and better lighting in the bedrooms. However, it was twice as expensive. The Ranch unit had some slippery icy areas in front of the garage and door. The shuttle bus drivers were very courteous and helpful, so after the initial unloading of our car, we were usually picked up right at our front door so the driveway didn't matter much. The heated garage for the car was also nice, but we didn't use our car much due to the great shuttle service. I would recommend The Ranch for families looking for a great place to stay. The Ranch unit was enjoyable and we had fantastic snow at Steamboat. From our balcony, we could see the lifts and the Gondola.
