This place is perfect for a family vacation or group trips. Feels larger than what it appears in the pictures. Excellent beds, glassware, and linens. If you don't like this place you wont be happy anywhere. There is no television in the living room adjacent to the kitchen. The television is downstairs in the game room which may be problematic for families with small children while cooking dinner.

This was a wonderful experience. The lodge is luxurious. Our kids kept calling it "the mansion." Clearly, this property is expensive but it was worth it for our group of 5 families. Everyone had a beautiful room with full bath and TV. The service provided by Moving Mountains was above expectations. They were very responsive to every request and the shuttle service was prompt and courteous. We had to call maintenance a few times and they arrived within minutes to fix the problem. My only complaint would be that during the nights, there was a repetitive noise (sounded like creaking stairs) that kept a few of us awake at times and we could never figure out where it was coming from.

This is our second year to stay in a Moving Mountains property and once again we were not disappointed! The service is top notch- nothing is left to want or need. They take care of everything. The door to door shuttle is fantastic and on time every time! The Lodge is a great home away from home. We comfortably fit 3 families of 4 with room to spare. The lodge's 5 star amenities make coming home a well deserved treat after a full day on the mountain. Hands down this is one of the best properties we have stayed in. You won't be disappointed!!

The home was pefectly clean, and well supplied with everything we needed. A wonderfully comfortable home with so much space that 12 people didn't use some areas. The near town location made it very convenient for last minute shopping and ease to downtown activities. Being able to gaze upon the front side of the ski area was both informative, as we could always view the weather day and night, and offered a long-view from most windows.
We felt like we needed another 5 days to more fully enjoy the comfort, space and ammenities of the house. Time went by much too quickly.Response from Moving Mountains - 04/04/2013

We unfortunately came at a time where there was little snowfall. The experience would have been much more if there was overloads of snow. Accommodation was very good - commodious space, well provisioned with all manner of items like utensils, crockery, etc. Spacious and well suited for large groups - our 9 persons was almost too small a group - perhaps 16 persons would have filled out the house better.

We do represent over 30 private homes including many 4-5 bedrooms, so typically we can find the right home for the group size. I'm not sure why your group selected this six bedroom but we will certainly do our best to find a better suited home for your next stay!

We just returned from the best vacation ever! The people, the place, and the activities were simply amazing! This house is close to everything (5-10 min.)
The alcondora lodge was a dream! This house has everything you need to have a relaxing and comfortable vacation.
There is also shuttle that will pick you up and take you anywhere in town.
The people at Moving Mountain Chalets were extremely helpful with dinner reservations and everything else in between! We are already booking our next stay! :)Response from Moving Mountains - 04/04/2013

Travelled from Denver to Steamboat to enjoy our first "family vacation" in 6 years. The house perfectly accommodated the 4 couples and the 6 children under the age of seven. The house itself is top-notch (and I cringe at staying at anything but 5-star hotels). There was even a Nespresso espresso-maker and milk frother and more than enough espresso pods to last the 5 days we were there.
Only drawback was the need to rent baby gates - as the stairs are not safe for children under 5. -

Moving Mountains was awesome from the start (reservations) to end (check-out). They kept us post on local weather conditions and activities prior to trip and during trip. The location of house was central to everything. The house itself was amazingly beautiful and comfy...loved the purple appliances. Thanks alex for everything, you were very helpful.
