HoustonLarge Family Christmas
Left on 01/13/2013 for a stay in December 2012
When we decided to take all 16 of our family members on a Christmas/new year ski trip, we needed a home that could not only sleep us all but could provide room and equipment to cook meals and give kids space to play (away from ski worn parents). Creekside had it all including location...lifts were extremely close (especially to thunderhead lift) and fireworks were visible from the warmth of the living room. Loved the real wood burning fireplace and the huge private spa. We'll be back guaranteed!

Thank you for letting us know how much you enjoyed the Creekside Chalet and everything it offered. It looks like the new bunk beds, 60" flat screen TV and new furniture in the Recreation Room was absolutely to everyone's satisfaction.
We very much look forward to your return!.

We are so pleased the family was able to come together and enjoy their time in Steamboat. I'm so sorry that your ring was lost on this trip. Our staff looked everywhere and we have definitely found and returned many items of all values through the year. I do hope we'll be happy to have you back again next summer.

Let me first start by saying that after 8+ years of extensive traveling this is my first ever review...
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Creekside Chalet with 14 friends and was blown away by both the home and level of service provided by Moving Mountains.
I have read other reviews that have raised concerns with the location and yes it is definately shuttle ride to the gondola service but as a group we walk both to and from the Elk Head Express on several occassions so for us it didnt have any real impact. I think its also worth noting that chalets like this either dont exist or are extremely expensive if they are based within the village central.
When the shuttle was required it was always prompt (within 15 minutes) and the drivers were more that willing to share their thoughts on the mountain and town which was a great help.
The rooms have everything that you need with clean bathrooms and plenty of storage, the kitchen is huge and easily caters for large crowds (we had 15) and the hot tub was the ideal place to relaxe after a hard day on the slopes.
All in all it was a fantastic trip, the only problem being that it has now come to an end and I am typing this email at work in australia!!Response from Moving Mountains - 02/23/2012

We are truly honored that your experience with us resulted in you taking time to write a review. For your next trip with us, I would encourage the Full-Service Catered Package which will give you even more convenience and personalized car service as well as the staff cooking and cleaning! Basically, we will be happy to take this experience to a whole other level!
Hope to see you next year,

This was a huge surprise in our driving ski trip around Colorado. We happened upon Moving Mountains thru One Steamboat Place and were put in touch with Elizabeth. She could not have been nicer or more helpful. She soon had us inspecting Creekside Chalet, a fantastic home minutes from the slopes. Rahoul who showed us the home also could not have been more pleasant and helpful. We took the home for 4 nights, wish it could have been a lot more, and spent the days either skiing or relaxing in this extremely well equipped home. We cooked and ate in each night and spent a long while relaxing in the hot tub. Everything about this experience was fantastic from the house itself to the shuttle pickup service provided by Moving Mountains. Hard to say what we liked the most because we loved it all. We will be back.

Thank you so very much for taking time to write such a lovely review.
I was quite disappointed that I did not have a chance to come round and meet you directly but I had been given good reports from my staff that you were enjoying yourselves. You must return so we can have a drink together!
All the best,

We had a wonderful time at the Creekside Chalet. The kitchen/living room openness was just what our family needed. We had our 85 yr old parents and six siblings (some with spouses) so the room configuration was ideal. Highly recommended for it's setup and views!

Had a fab time staying at Creekside Chalet for our annual ski trip. My group had 6 adults and 6 kids and we had more than enough room. The kids loved playing in the snow next to the house while the adults sat in the hot tub, drank champagne and watched. House had excellent amenities and the staff provided everything one might need for a week stay. I highly recommend having the Moving Mountains Chef come cook for you. She had her helper were fab and even got the kids involved to assist. Book your trip with Moving Mountains, you will not be disappointed.

Our family has been coming to Steamboat for three years and we have stayed with three different management companies. How did we ever miss Moving Mountains!
This was without question the easiest, most comfortable, relaxing and well prepared ski trip that we have ever had. Moving Mountains takes it to the next level on all areas. Our only regret - that we did not spring for the full-service catered package that they offer, but we were seriously tempted by the private chef dinner that we requested for one night.
Preparation is everything and Moving Mountains takes this to the next level - thanks alex and Elisabeth for your attention to the details.
Creekside Chalet is perfect for any family seeking the comforts of home without the price tag of slopeside location. The Moving Mountains shuttle was always on time and eliminated the need for a rental car, allowing us to spring for the extra luxuries that come with this great rental home.
Recommended without hesitation - except for the week we want to come back next March! -

The accommodations, accessories exceeded our expections. Every single detail in the house was well-thought out..from the ski boot driers, ski racks and the much appreciated 3-car garage..everything just made our trip stressless, and pleasant. We even had a white bathrobe brunch...thanks to the robes and slippers provided..a nice touch that appealed to our groups sense of humor and good fun...these and so many other things were like the sweet frosting on the cake. It couldn't have been better. The house fit our 12 person group perfectly, room for a little dancing, group dinners ( we ate in 4 of 5 nights ), quiet reading time...yet everyone nearby...just what we wanted...Bedrooms/bathrooms as promised..thanks.
Well-equipped kitchen, great hottub and grill...couldn't have been better. Would return without hesitation.

This is our third visit with Moving Mountains Chalets. Wouldn't want to use anyone else. They arrange everything for us and take care of us when we are there. They offer so many services you wouldn't have to do anything if you didn't want to. We[ 5 adults and 6 grandchildren ages 22-9] were very comfortable in this home. We like the proximity to the slopes. It was a very nice home and had all the amenities that we have enjoyed with Moving Mountains Chalets. I never have to wonder what kind of place we will be staying in with them because I know it will be exceptional.

We had a family reunion of about 60 people. The accommodations were fitting for all and very luxurious. And the summer rates very reasonable. We have this reunion every 5 years and the properties are always awesome -- these being among the best so far. There is plenty to do in Steamboat. I would definately return -- and hope to some day.

We had a wonderful ski vacation in Steamboat. The Moving Mountains staff and chalet accommodations were exceptionally nice. The chalet was clean, and the staff made sure that all our needs were met, and the food was delicious. Karen and Raul were wonderful with the children. The kids liked them so much that they made Valentines for both of them. Without question, using Moving Mountains is the best way to vacation!!!

We had a great family holiday at Creekside - kids and parents could eat together, play together - or not, depending on the mood! Games room for kids, luxurious seating and heavenly views for adults.
Food was great, especially the attention to detail - personal likes and dislikes catered for, nothing too much trouble. And having a personal taxi service meant that we could ski whenever we wanted (no waiting for shuttle with kids in tow)

Our family has visited Steamboat before and found it family friendly, so we decided to visit again. Since the family grew, a larger house was needed. We chose Moving Mountain's Creekside Chalet because the home looked luxurious. The house was beautiful and very well planned out. The kitchen was well equipped for a gourmet cook and rooms were very comfortable. Bathrooms in every room gave everyone their space and no turns were needed to shower!! Our experience was wonderful the entire stay until the end. We were visited by an employee that we rented the home from and she was suprisingly rude. The employee was almost impossible to get to phone back while trying to rent, so 3 members of our party were calling hoping that one would atleast get a call back.(this employee found it necessary to bring that up and even called US trouble makers.(ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!)) If we already rented the home and paid the money, shouldn't the past be in the past? We also decided to have the groceries delivered to the home before we arrived and this employee refused to give us the receipt. (Half of the groceries..such as dressings and coffee were off brand and the cheese and simple lunch meat we ordered they got from the deli). I would stay again but request not to rent from this particular employee (all other employee's were wonderful and so helpful!!) and would rather just buy the correct groceries myself.

We are very happy to see another great review of the Creekside Chalet.
It appears that there were communications issues with the groceries. In this review the guests did not acknowledge that we removed all of our service fees for stocking groceries, even though we purchased items that they requested. They offered us no brand guidelines so we looked for best value which is typically Store Brand items which many guests appreciate. We selected sale items where this saved them additional money, but they were still not satisfied, so we removed the fees for our time (and they wrote that this is a poor service...).
Guests can of course do all their own shopping and in this case it appears that we could not meet their specific needs without more information, which we did not get, until the day they left allowing us no opportunity to correct or change items. We took steps to help them over their disappointment. They appear to have taken a personal issue with one of our staff over this which is too bad as this employee is a valued staff member who has had rave reviews from so many guests. -

This was a first rate house. It accomodated all 11 of us with room to spare.Lay out was great and updates to the home were very well done. The kitchen was fantastic with everything and more.Great location on the mountain, private yet close to things.Service was good but needed to call a few times to clear up maid service that didn't show and confusion with complicated remotes to work t.v. and stereo. Would have been better if there were more instruction sheets on operations.

Thank you Moving Mountains. We had a wonderful time. The chalet was even more beautiful in person than in pictures. We loved the linen closet for extra towels and blankets as needed. Everything was set up perfectly and the extra toddler items like the high chair and crib helped ease the long distance travelers into vacation mode. We loved all the cooking implements, especially the the graters and zesters just like we have at home. Thank you again for wonderful visit, we are already trying to find a time to come out in the winter to ski.

Littleton, COMoving Mountains Chalets Made it Special!
Left on 07/09/2009 for a stay in June 2009
We recently stayed in Moving Mountain's Creekside Chalet and it was one of our best family vacations ever! For starters, the house was wonderful! We had three families (inlcluding kids & teens) and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house is not only spacious, but it has anything you need and more! Moving Mountains has it all- from entertainment (everything from family board games, wii, dvd players/ movies & more) to a gourmet kitchen with all the utensils you could need and even the furnishings are top rate! We had a minor problem our first day there and they were on top of it immediately! We have used other rental agencies in the past (both in Steamboat Springs and elsewhere) but none even come close to offering what Moving Mountains does! They have great added touches like not only providing great lotions and soaps, but also sunscreen lip balm, robes and slippers! We loved the fact that they refill the hottub for each new renter and that there were plenty of soft, oversized towels for us to use. Most important, the staff were friendly and willing to go the extra distance to make sure we had the best possible experience! We have decided to make this an annual family vacation and can't wait to stay at Creekside again next year!

We had an incredible experience staying at Creekside Chalet. Before our stay we had great service from Moving Mountains to help us plan our stay there and while we were there they were extremely responsive to any questions we had.
The accommodations were amazing. There was nothing we needed that wasn't there! The home was very clean and comfortable and we had more than enough space for our group. It was one of the best reunions we have had and I think a good part of it was due to the home. There were nice, large gathering areas, but everyone also had a very comfortable room to escape to if they needed a little space from the crowd.
We also enjoyed how close the home was to everything we did from the Old Town Hot Springs, to Hiking, the Alpine Slide, etc. It was also nice to be close to a grocery store.
We would highly recommend Creekside Chalet to anyone interested in having a beautiful place to stay in a very quaint and beautiful location. We loved it!! -

Left on 04/09/2009 for a stay in February 2009
This was our second stay at a Moving Mountains vacation rental property. Last year we stayed at one of the Bear Chalets, this year we had a bigger group and opted for the Moving Mountains Chalet.
Three families with 6 kids stayed together in great comfort in this home to ski for a week at Steamboat. The best decision we made was to go with the full-service catered package. This made our vacation relaxing for everyone.
It was like staying in a private 5 star hotel where we were the only guests. The staff collected us from the airport an drove us daily to and from the lifts (1 minute). The chef prepared all of our meals and we wanted for nothing. The kids loved it - we loved it.
It was not expensive either. When we broke down the cost comparing what we have spent on previous trips the difference was about $40 per person per night - hard to question that for having everything done for all of our group.
We will be back next year for sure!
