Located right on the mountain next to the Thunderhead Lift, this vacation home offers phenomenal access to the mountain's ski slopes and the ability to ski from the front door straight to the Gondola and ski school. At the end of the day, beginners can return safely and easily from the Right O' Way green run.
The great room with wood burning fireplace is a comfortable space for family to gather, play games, or continue to enjoy the outdoors due to the view from the wall of windows.

We had a great stay at Thunderhead Chalet over Spring Break. The house was perfect for the 6 adults and 9 children in our family group (3 families) . Convenient location right by the lift; also, beginner skiers and younger kids can ski down to the base easily for ski school/green runs. We had the full package with Moving Mountains (catered chalet) and it was wonderful! We are very spoiled now. Karen, Raul, Jason, and Gen were all very nice and helpful! Thanks for a wonderful vacation.

We all had a wonderful experience in Steamboat Springs, CO! The house was very cozy. Lots of space for everyone. Each guest had their own bedroom and bathroom. The amenities where great. We defiantly will return and recommend this home for a large group.

We stayed in this chalet for the second year and thoroughly enjoyed it! It is nicely furnished, not elegant, which is great for a family our size. The children used the lowest level with a pool table and large TV, plus two bedrooms and a bath, and that worked very well. It was nice to see the condition of the home was as good as last year when new flooring was installed, partly due to the fact that it has a great walk-in area to take the skiis off and on, and a boot dryer. No shoes are allowed beyond this area, and the home stays much nicer. The management company was very good at cleaning the walks, maintaining the hot tub and delivering the paper as well as responding to any questions or problems we had. We will return to this property again if in Steamboat. The proximity to the Thunderhead lift is its best asset! We no longer need to ski to the base to access the mountain, and can return for an easy, quick lunch break, eliminating the lodge's incredibly expensive food! It was a great week!

As the title says...super awesome ski chalet. Great location, very comfortable, something for everyone house. Not an over the top house rather a comfortable place to come back to after a great day on the slopes. Hot tub is key but the fact that you are 25 steps from the Thunderhead lift is the selling point. Great house for families or groups of friends. Would not stay at any other house when we are in Steamboat, period.

This was, by far, the house with the best location we have ever rented in Steamboat. We were able to access Thunderhead lift, eliminating the need to ski to the base and ride chairs or the gondola back up the mountain. The privacy and remote location, last house on Burgess Creek, were added benefits to our family. The children spent lots of time playing pool and using the hot tub. Moving Mountains is a great management company and we will recommend them often. They were very diligent about delivering the paper, shoveling the snow, and maintaining the hot tub. The house has a great floorplan for a large family and the entrance to remove and store lots of equipment and coats was a valuable feature, enabling us to keep everything organized and ready for the next day.
When we return to Steamboat, this house will definitely be our first choice!
