loved our stay here. the apartment exceeded my expectations as aletta has done the place up like someone's well cared for home, with beautiful artwork, etc. if all 3 bedrooms were used, i think the upstairs living quarters would be too tight, but it was absolutely perfect for the two of us and we would stay again in a heartbeat. the outdoor terrace is also just fab and much enjoyed. thanks aletta for taking such good care of us!

The appartment was exactly what we needed. In the middle of everything, spacious, sunny, clean, equipped with everything you need for a longer stay. Also prfect with a Baby. We loved it.

This really modern, clean apartment is situated right in the heart of Stellenbosch. It is actually a historic building that has been exceptionally tastefully modernised to produce a luxury hideaway in the midst of the town! Within a stones throw of many great places to eat (and drink!), including De Stomme Jonge and 5 Ryneveld both of which are just next door and which we heartly recommend. Lack of aircon in ground floor bedrooms made it hot (weather was exceptionally hot during our stay), but owners kindly provided fans which helped. Aircon upstairs worked well. Beautiful lounge/kitchen/dining area opens out onto a fabulous private deck area overlooking Ryneveld Street. Would definitely recommend!

This apartment is absolutely stunning! Very modern, and yet retains the character and culture of Stellenbosch in many ways. It is centrally located, with no need for a car. The patio in the late afternoon/early evening is breathtaking. We look forward to our next stay - which if aletta had space available would have been next week. I would never choose to stay anywhere else in Stellenbosch.

We stayed in Tuishuisie for 2 months in 2011 and it really was a great experience from start to finish. It is a historic building that has been beautifully decorated and renovated, it is very comfortable, well equipped and spacious and has one of the best locations in Stellenbosch central. The large balcony is amazing and overlooks a charming oak lined street that is filled with great restaurants and nice shops. I would strongly recommend Tuishuisie to anyone visiting Stellenbosch.

The willingness, kindness and flexibility of aletta are already a welcome message. The apartment in itself is certainly located in the most beautiful place of the town: the historical center of Stellenbosch with its cape dutch's style buildings. It is close to the Village museum, the beautiful church, the botanical garden, various private art galleries, nice restaurants, the University, the Coetzenburg sport center and surroundings for relaxing walks, and all the needed facilities. Moreover it is a perfect "base" to visit the surrounding winelands, Cape Town (40-45 minutes driving) and strand beach (25 minutes driving)
The flat is big with a big terrace that allows to enjoy the warm weather and relaxed atmosphere. It's equipped with everything's necessary to have, very clean and nicely designed. Last but not least it is environmental-friendly which is always positive! -

We stayed for 3 weeks in Tuishuisie. It was my best time in Stellenbosch and the nicest flat i rented since the last fiew years. Every bedroom has it's one bathroom. The kitchen and living room is on a grand scale. The kitchen is well equipped and the balcony is huge! The flat is centrally located but it is still quiet.
The owners are uncomplicated and very helpful. -

Tuishuisie selfcatering apartment is a wonderful place to stay. It's stylish luxurious design and central orientation in Stellenbosch town makes it both convenient and comfortable accomodation. I would definitely recommend Tuishuisie to anyone searching for accomodation in Stellenbosch.
