Awake to the call of the Bald Eagle who roosts in a tall tree located at the side of the cottage. Watch the Eagle spread its wings with amazing grace to leave the tree and soar over the bay in search of its morning meal.
Not bald at all, the Eagle has a white-feathered head which gleams in contrast to its chocolate-brown body and wings. The Eagle will soar in solitude, chase other birds for their food or spend hours sitting atop the tree allowing a close up study of "a day in the life of a Bald Eagle"!

Eagle Roost Cottage is located on Pigeon Hill Road in Steuben. It is surrounded by a beautiful bay, lobster boats, sea gulls, eagles and several sea birds. Located a two minute drive from Petit Manan Point National Wild Life Refuge and Pigeon Hill Summit. The small coastal town of Milbridge is 8 miles away and offers everything one would need during their stay. Take a day trip to Acadia National Park, an hours drive or visit the quiet part of Acadia and drive to Schoodic Peninsula just a short drive away from the cottage.
