The apartment is located in the Sodermalm neighborhood, which is a great part of Stockholm - trendy, but still peaceful. My husband and I are in our early 30's, and enjoy dining out and having a drink or two in the evening, and Sodermalm offers various lovely establishments for doing just that. After exploring the city during the day, we always made our way back to the neighborhood for the evening, as there were so many nice options for meals and drinks quite close to the apartment. Moreover, Sodermalm seems to be full of locals - people our age and young families, which added to the relaxing vibe. Moreover, Sodermalm is quite central - if you enjoy walking, it's an easy walk to Gamla Stan, and even easier to walk to the underground which will take you anywhere, and is clean and simple to navigate. The apartment itself was clean and well-appointed - the bedroom is quite small, but I think the bed is a larger size for Stockholm so that was quite nice. There is small balcony off the sitting room which is lovely place for breakfast and watching the world go by. The kitchen had mostly everything we needed (we had to buy olive oil and salt and pepper - it would be nice if these basics were included) - and the kitchen even has a dishwasher which is a bonus. My only complaints about the apartment are that the bathroom is quite tiny, but again, that is to be expected in an old city. Also, unfortunately the apartment smelled like cigarette smoke - it seems that maybe a neighbor smokes and the smell seeps in. If you are in any way sensitive to smoke, or dislike the smell of it, I would recommend that you not stay here. Otherwise, everything else is top notch!!! Moreover, Stockholm is a wonderful, beautiful city - we really enjoyed our time there.
