Blythe Farmhouse is a grade II listed building dating back to the early 1700's. It has been extensively renovated over the last ten years. We have retained many of the original features. The log fire and relaxing decor help to create the unique, warm and comfortable accommodation that our guests demand.
No longer a working farm we offer the peace and tranquillity that a long driveway gives. We are surrounded by green fields, With fantastic views over the Staffordshire countryside.
Accommodation is fully equipped with high quality fittings and appliances.

Most people arrive in the area from the M1 or the M6.
From the M1 travelling North or South take Junction 24 follow A50 Alton Towers & Uttoxeter. Pick up A522, Cheadle & Upper Tean. Go through the village of Tean over the river bridge and turn left into Riverside Road.
From the M6 either North or South pick up the A500, follow the signs for A50 Derby (Alton Towers). Follow the A50 until you see Draycott A527 follow for 4 miles until you come to Upper Tean. Total petrol station will be on your left and about 50 yards on your right turn into Riverside Road.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Clean and warm. Made ever so welcome - it was a shame we were only able to stay one night after a busy day at alton Towers, it's less than 20 minutes drive away. All the modern conveniences you could wish for. It would be a fabulous cottage for a week away as so much to do and see on the doorstep. I can't rate it high enough. Clean bedding and kitchen, welcoming living room and lots of space for all the family - there were 5 of us. Booking was easy and prompt relpies to all communication.

This cottage was in a wonderful rural location, ideal for visiting Staffordshire, only 15 minutes from alton Towers, half an hour away fro Stafford, and close to all local attractions, we especially enjoyed visiting Monkey Forest. Irene and her family were the perfect hosts, leaving wonderfully clear instructions on how to get to alton Towers. The children loved the area and are already asking when can we go back (and not just for alton Towers)! Stable Cottage was so comfortable we even spent one whole day 'at home', lighting the wood burner in the evening made it even more homely. Thank you so much to Irene and her family for making us so welcome.
