St. Marys, GASecluded Setting in the Middle of it all

Brookdale Cabin is a wonderful retreat. At the end of a country road, less than a 1/2 mile from the Stowe Mtn access road, it offers a secluded setting with no other houses visible. It has panoramic views of the mountains to the southeast and is surrounded by forest to the north and west. It's rustic, log cabin design still included all the modern conveniences, including Wi-Fi. We were welcomed by the property manager, who lives right down the lane, and she was very responsive to our needs. The appliances were dated, but they worked fine,(hey, you're on vacation and it is a cabin). If I were to change anything, I would put a larger bed in the main floor bedroom, so that we older couples wouldn't have to climb stairs. With only one bathroom, large families would need to schedule their potty visits. We stayed a month and felt very comfortable here. The property is pet friendly and our dog really enjoyed the expansive property to run around on. It really felt like a home away from home. If you want a comfortable, secluded, no-frills oasis in a busy world, this is it.
