I just stayed at the Birch Glen house this past weekend and could not wait to write this review. We stayed here for a ski weekend, and even though due to the warm weather this past week, the skiing wasn't great, this house made up for it! There were less of us on this trip than expected, but due to the extremely low cost, it was completely worth it! The pictures on this website do not do it justice! So much better than anything we expected. I'm not sure if it was renovated recently or if it just doesn't photograph well, but everything was very new looking, clean, and inviting! Everyone at the motel was so nice and accommodating when it came it check in/check out. There was plenty of space for everyone, and plenty to do at both the house and in the town. We will definitely be back next year!!

We vacationed with three generations of our family,
ranging in age from 7 to 74 years. Including 3 teenagers.
The house is very large and well maintained. It was very well equipped with all the supplies and cooking
utensils you would find at home.
My wife and I stayed in the main floor room, which in fact is really a suite. In addition to two Queen beds
it had a sitting room with a gas fired fireplace and an ensuite bathroom. The rest of our gang was spread out in the other five bedrooms. The house is very large and we never felt crowded.
The house was well stocked with board games and books. We made good use and enjoyed the Pool Table and hot tub in the basement.
The grounds around the house had lounges,
lawn games and a wonderfully relaxing hammock.
Best of all is that the house is adjacent (separated by a row of trees) to the grounds of the Stowe Motel and Snowdrift. Don't let the word Motel fool you.
What we found was a fully equipped small resort.
All of which is available at no charge to guests staying in the Birch Glen House. Everyone made use of the two heated pools and the younger generation
used the mountain bikes daily. They also used the tennis court and played croquet, badminton and other lawn games.
The grounds are next to a shallow rocky river which is ideal for kids of all ages to wade in and build dams. Also next door is access to Stowe's award winning Recreation Path. The paved Recreation Path meanders through beautiful scenery for 5 1/2 miles between the village and the mountain. It is closed to motorized vehicles. Our teens would drive the bikes to the village or to their favorite swimming hole.
Most of the staff at the Stowe Motel have been there for years. Besides being very good humored,they are very helpful. They are always happy to suggest
the best climbs, hikes, waterfalls, places to swim
or canoe, concerts and summer stock.
The only drawback is that a week at the Birch Glen is
just not enough.

My immeadiate family of 6 vacations at the Birch glenn home on average of 2 times per year. we have a great time. the rest of our friends and family take turns comming to visit us for a day here and there. everyone loves to come visit when we are staying at the Birch Glen home...home away from home..
