We stayed at Tall Pines over New Years with close friends and had a marvelous time. The house was well appointed and very spacious. The pictures are not deceiving. In fact it was roomier in person. The kitchen was well appointed and even with two restaurant chef/owners among the guests, we wanted for nothing. It was a bit of a trek to the mountain, and we were there for skiing, but we knew that coming in.

We have had the best luck with Stowe Country Homes, and in particular, Alison. They have great houses to fit any budget and family requirements and are very responsive to requests and needs.
The house was large enough for our extended family although we prefer to be closer to the village. Large family room and kitchen makes this house great to share a family holiday, although the beds are definitely a little too firm for most of us. Nestled in the woods, the setting is very pretty in winter, and I am certain stunning at other times of the year.
