In a beautiful location on the spectacular North coast, this lovely detached traditional croft house provides the perfect opportunity to explore the area. Approximately 10 minutes walk from the stunning unspoilt sandy beach, this is an ideal base for both relaxing and active family holidays. Visitors can enjoy lovely walks, wildlife watching, fishing and surfing. Pony trekking, golf and swimming are also available nearby. The coastline combines spectacular cliff top scenery with rocky coves and sandy bays whilst inland there are river valleys, moors and hills. Basic accomodation, warm & cosy. Easy access to local beaches only downside was the lack of washing machine and shower over the bath. Otherwise excellent value for money.

The cottage was in very good order, although did smell musty on arrival, but after a couple of days of being lived in it was fine.

The house is just off the main road and near the beach which was lovely. There are plenty of walks around about and the weather was good when we were there. The house itself was fine although under the couch in the living room was disgusting with foody bits and hair. As there is no cleaner going in you are depending on the person before you hoovering and cleaning everywhere. The house had everything we needed apart from a washing machine. The previous tenant had also not put the recycling bin out which meant we had to fill the normal one. The area itself is beautiful and we had a great time.

Initial shock from the stags head was overtaken by the beauty and quietness of the area. It took a while to turn everything on and to get into the out house with the gas and boiler, but the week then ran smoothly. Excellent location for a complete get away but be prepared for adverse weather conditions. Lots to explore and freshair to be had.

lovely location, beautiful beach close by. friendly local hostelry.
Plenty of scenery and views close by. Orkney, Cape Wrath, Clearance villages, Castle of Mey. Many walks and nature trails.
