“A CONDO TO KEEP COMING BACK TO!” We've rented this condo with friends many times in the past several years, and it's one of our favorites. Steve is very pleasant to deal with, the condo is clean, sleeps many people comfortably, and overlooks the mini terrain park/learning area. We've had grandma come along and she loved to watch the kids ski from the balcony. Also on MLK weekend the balcony was the perfect place to view the fireworks. Would highly recommend this unit!

About Stratton Mountain, Vermont

In the heart of Green Mountain National Forest lies Stratton Mountain—the highest point in Windham County.

Surrounded by the Connecticut River, you're right in the middle of the action if you stay here. 

This is a hugely popular place for hiking. It was here that the idea for the Appalachian Trail was thought up by James P. Taylor. We're not saying do the whole thing, but trek a bit of it during your stay.

The other reason Stratton Mountain is popular is the skiing. It's spectacular! Soft powder snow cloaks the mountain during winter, offering challenging slopes for people of all abilities. There are 94 trails over 600 acres, and 16 lifts. That's a lot of exploring to do!

What to do

Skiing is the main attraction in this part of Vermont, but what happens when the season is over and the snow's gone for another year? Things in Stratton Mountain don't stop, if that's what you're thinking.

There are plenty of outdoor activities to try. Explore the rugged hills while cycling or hiking, and follow the trails up to postcard-perfect viewpoints.

If you want to stay a bit closer to home, the shopping in Downtown Stratton Mountain is fantastic. There are lots of small independent shops that will have the perfect souvenir for you.

Head to the golf course and practice your swing, or see if you can improve that backhand with a game of tennis.

If water sports are more your thing, rent a kayak and drift across the smooth waters. You can even try stand-up paddleboarding during your stay—it's totally up to you.
