Affordable luxury for a stay in the Cotswolds

Left on 12/06/2012 for a stay in October 2012

A very new property. Well laid out with plenty of room and a friendly host. A comfortable bed gave many nights good sleep after long days driving around the cotswolds and the cathedral cities of Gloucester and Hereford. Even Wales was reachable. There is plenty of local history here. Cirencester and Bath are not far away.

Minchinhampton is a pearl with the town center only a short walk away. You can't miss the common but please try and miss the cattle and horses, at least when driving! A wonder to behold!

      Difficult to fault? No, Impossible.

Left on 11/25/2012 for a stay in November 2012

We wanted a place to spend a five-day break in the Cotswolds. We were looking for somewhere that was comfortable, well-equipped, stylishly decorated and warm. We also wanted somewhere with sufficient ‘walking from the door’ and close to other attractions should we decide to drive. We found it here.
I think that the cottage had been functioning as a rental for only a few months and the standard of decoration and equipment reflected this. There was everything you could need. We were very lucky with the weather – lots of sun – but Wildair Cottage would also have been ideal if the weather hadn’t been so good as we could have walked, got wet and cold, but returned to the cottage to hot showers (lots of hot water, thick towels, effective heating).
The kitchen is ideal for two, but there’s enough crockery, glasses etc to entertain should you wish.
The owner welcomed us on arrival, showed us what we needed to know and so on and then left us to it. The cottage is attached to his house, so he was around if we needed him, but we didn’t.
I have no hesitation in recommending Wildair Cottage as long as you don’t book it when we want to return.
