First off, the cabin was not ready for us until 2 hours after check-in time. Housekeeping arrived while we were at the rental office and still there cleaning when we entered the cabin, so we couldn't even bring in our things. Second, we found 2 bags of trash on the patio and I told the rental office when I checked-out, and it was put in the notes by the receptionist. On my credit card statement for February a $20 charge was showing. I called and Samantha said it was for the trash, which they probably missed in the notes! That should not have been charged to me at all--very upset about this! Two of the beds we couldn't even use... the upper bunk was missing a slat right in the middle, so there wasn't any support in the middle for your body and one of the beds in the other bottom bedroom felt like there wasn't a real mattress on it. So we were unable to use 2 of the beds. There was also wooden boards in the kitchen that housekeeping bumped while we were there that fell. It looks like the nails came out, so we weren't able to fix that (I think it was the back of the cupboard with pots or bowls-- on the bottom facing living room).

San BernardinoBirthday Weekend Getaway With Friends
Left on 12/14/2011 for a stay in December 2011
I rented this cabin with 9 other people for a weekend, and it was truly a great experience. The customer service I received when checking in was incredible. I had a issue with the credit card holder not being present to check in but the representatives worked with me and did wonders. Checking in was a lot less painless thanks to them! I honestly extremely appreciated how professional and welcoming the representatives were! The home was absolutely great; it was better than I had anticipated. It was very comfortable and felt just like home. The location was great too; it was in the middle of a quiet residential area. The only complaints I could think of was that the fridge didn't work and the kitchen sink got clogged (I guess there's no garbage disposal??). Other than that, it was very fun. The decor of the house was excellent and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had a good amount of utensils. I highly recommend bringing your own toilet paper, paper towels, and plates/napkins/utensils unless you want to do dishes the old fashioned way. All in all, this house was just what I had hoped for, and the people working for Big Bear Vacations were fabulous!!! Great experience!!!

It's a pretty good place for large groups, sleeps up to 11! The only thing that bothered us was the location, it seems to be out of the way in middle of a normal neighborhood which takes away the experience you look for of being in Big Bears scenic nature. If you're traveling in a large group and want bang for your buck, I highly recommend this place.

The property was sufficient for the needs we had as a family. The interior was a bit dated, and we wished it was a bit cleaner.

The house was ok, the kitchen was not cleaned, the restrooms did not have enough towels and paper and they were not cleaned properly. I would say cleanliness was one of the main issue. Also, I was really disapointed with the service, I had thrown the trash as requested but then I still got billed of 50 dollars saying that I did not throw the trash. So, Kassie Smith sent me an email that I was going to get the money back but until now I have not seen the 50 dollar been refunded. I am still waiting for that transaction. Hence, the service is not accurate.

The place was fine. The light in the kitchen was not working and we had to report that. The maintenance came and fixed it. The sink was not draining at all, the maintenance fixed that too. But the sink thing caused a little discomfort. Otherwise the house was fine.

Walked in and got a blast of cigarette smoke residue. Other than that the nine of us had a great time. The cabin was roomy and accommodated all of us comfortably. Kitchen and eating area were very small. Lots of beds. Not knowing the area well, we were far from the action of Big Bear proper.

Left on 09/02/2010 for a stay in August 2010
The house was clean but smelled like smoke when we got in. It had everything we needed as far as dishes and ammenties. I was told there was allot more parking then what there really was. If it wasnt for the vacant house across the street we would have had a serious issue for parking. The drive way held 4 cars and would have been fine if we didnt have 4 trucks and trailers and 6 jeeps. Overall, for what we were using the house for, it worked out well. Some of the lights didnt work in the house but we still got by. Thanks for the help and we will be using big bear vactions again next year when we return.

Warmest Welcome to the Morenos

Left on 03/28/2010 for a stay in February 2010
We were very pleased with the whole experience of our rental through your company. The agents were very patient, courteous and helpful, esp. since my computer wasn't working at the time. The house was so cozy, cute and clean. There was plenty of accommodation for our large family, as well as for when we had our Big Bear family over for dinner. Some of the minor faults were that the heater fan was a little noisy at night and somehow the heating didn't circulate upstairs. The garbage disposal needed to be plugged and unplugged every time we used it.But we especially liked how our agent helped to find us package deals, such as "during the week specials" and comped.lift tickets, and even location of property being so close to my Mothers house. We will definitely recommend your company to others as well as looking forward to using you again. Oh! by the way, my grand daughter cried when she left the house for the last time she loved it so much. Thanks for everything. Gretchen Moreno

The cabin is a very spacious and beautiful cabin. There were a couple of issues though that made my stay not so pleasant. Our driveway was covered in feet of snow and there were no shovels in the property. We struggled for 2 hours until we just gave up since we were exhausted and it was close to 10pm. The center table was broken with the edges pretty jagged and that I thought was pretty dangerous. The light by the staircase was not functioning which made it a bit difficult to see in the dark. There is a couch by the kitchen counter that has a piece of metal hanging out that is not very noticeable but both my brother and I sliced our leg on it. My brothers pants even tore completely from the slash. Other than that I would say it is spacious and accomodating, but I feel mangagement can definitely put some work into detail.

This guest made the extremely dagerous journey to Big Bear during a blizzard. Expectations to have a cleared driveway during a what Governor Schwarzenager declares as state of emegency are beyond appropriate. Guests of Big Bear Vacations were offered to make arrangements for a different weekend at no charge and encouraged for their own safety as well as access to delay their trip to Big Bear. At times roads to and from Big Bear were closed to non area residents to prevent strain on emegency efforts. Maintenace crews were unable to make appropriate arrangements for guests arriving during the storm due to their continued effort to provide electricty, heat and access for guests already stranded in the Big Bear area. Repairs have been made to the items noted in this review.

We stayed here in Sugarloaf for my birthday weekend. The accommodations
were very nice! The bedrooms were nicely kept and there is a good size
kitchen and living room with many couches to relax on. There is everything
that you could need in a cabin for a short stay. The bathrooms were nice and
the whole cabin was kept very clean. The only thing that differed from the
previous reviews was that in the upstairs, there is an extra bed but it's placed
in the closet. So I suppose someone who wants a good night's sleep would use
that bed. There is also a deck but it was too cold to hang out there. We really
enjoyed staying here and would come back if it were a tad less expensive.
