Villa Mir Vami is situated in the centre of the picturesque village of Sumartin on Brac. It is a traditional Dalmatian stone house, which was completely renovated in 2009. This charming villa can accommodate 8/12 people comfortably.

On the ground floor there is a kitchen / dining room / sitting room area, 3 bedrooms and 3 en suite bathrooms. The upper floor has a bedroom and a en suite bathroom. To make your stay on Brac Island as pleasant as possible, we have equipped the villa with all the equipment you might need and the interior and grounds have been tastefully designed.

Kitchen equipment: 4-ring ceramic hob, oven, refrigera...tor, freezer, dishwasher, toaster, hood, coffee filter machine, microwave oven, mixer and kettle.

Other equipment: air conditioning, satellite TV, Hi-fi, DVD, washing machine, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, Internet connection.

To protect your peace and privacy, Villa Mir Vami is only available as a complete unit, with garden and pool. The position of Villa Mir Vami in the centre of Sumartin on Brac Island means that it is close to shops, restaurants and coffee bars, and the nearest beach is 300m away.

Additional Location Information

Sumartin on Brac is the most recent, most easterly settlement, by the eastern point of Brac. In fact, until the 19th century it was known as East Brac. The name Sumartin is linked to immigrants from the Makarska mainland who fled here from the Turkish invasion in 1646 and established a shrine dedicated to St. Martin, one of the saints of their former home. On the site where the medieval church of St. Martin used to stand, there is now a Franciscan monastery, whose foundations were laid in 1747 by the famous Dalmatian poet friar, Andrija Kacic-Miosic.

The village grew steadily and spontaneously on the slopes around the bay and the newcomers lived from fishing, boat building and seafaring. The Lucica boat building yard in Sumartin on Brac, in which traditional wooden boats are built, is today one of very few remaining on the Adriatic. It is also interesting to note that professional fishing the world over benefited from an invention by a man of Brac, Mario Puratic, who emigrated to the United States in 1955 and invented a pulley for dropping and hauling in fishing nets.

Sumartin on Brac has a ferry dock and so, like Supetar and Bol, is one of the entrances to Brac. Although it has good connections with Makarska and is visited by tourist yachts, Sumartin is still a peaceful place to spend a restful holiday. There are some quiet, hidden coves nearby (Rasotica, Zukovik, Radovnja, Studena, Zvirje and Spilice) with sandy or pebble beaches. Sumartin is attractive because it has retained its simplicity, with its lovely beaches, unspoiled nature and crystal clear sea. You can always find fresh fish and other local delicacies, like cheese, honey, lamb and wine. If you want entertainment, you can always go to Bol, one of the best-known Adriatic destinations with a vibrant nightlife and a wide range of sporting activities.
