LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
Centrally located in the British Columbia interior and only 45 minutes by car from Kamloops, British Columbia. Fly direct to Kamloops from Vancouver with Air Canada JAZZ or WESTJET. Rent a car, take a taxi, or book the shuttle bus to the resort.
For a scenic drive of about 3½ hours, try Highway 1 from Vancouver via Hope through the Fraser Canyon to Kamloops. Sun Peaks resort is a 45 minute drive from Kamloops. Take highway 5 towards Jasper north for approx 18 km (15 minutes) to the Heffley Creek turn-off (right off Highway 5). The Sun Peaks Resort is well sign posted on the highway. Then almost immediately, turn left at the Heffley Creek store and drive 31 km (25 minutes) up the Sun Peaks road (sometimes called Todd Mountain road) to the resort. Drive through the village and turn right at the Kookaburra resort onto Village Way. Take the second left onto Sunpeaks Road, then left again to Sundance Drive. Follow around the bend and Winterwood is on the right, 4132 Sundance Drive.

Six of us stayed at "Winterwood" in Sunpeaks for two weeks in 2012 and had the best time ever!
"Winterwood" is the million dollar experience of your life - we could not believe that we could rent this private home looking out over the Sunpeaks valley with all modern luxuries (spa, fireplace, central heating, etc etc) - even the driveway was heated for convenience! Added to all of this was the ability to ski in and ski out from "Winterwood" with ease. 2012 was our second visit and we have already booked for 2013! I would recommend this home to everyone. -

We have stayed at Winterwood several times (summer & winter) since the chalet was completed for winter 2008-09. It is a perfect position for skiing with full ski-in/ski-out access, a 2 minute ski down to the Sundance and Sunburst chairlifts and Village Centre.
The chalet faces south overlooking Mt Morrisey so it is bathed in sun all
day with a great view of the mountain.
Everything about Winterwood is fantastic: from the excellently equipped
kitchen; comfortable and spacious bedrooms; modern spotless bathrooms with lots of hot water; cosy radiant heating and gas log fire; cable TV in master suite, lounge and 2nd living area; wi-fi; convenient laundry facilities and off street parking to the relaxing hot tub. If you want all the comforts of home (and then some) you will not be disappointed.
The accommodation is luxurious in every way, with everything we needed to make our visits first class.
We are always sad to leave Winterwood and look forward to visiting again.
