The location is central to the resort yet day and night it feels like you are away from the hustle and bustle. The complex is surrounded by traditional Bulgarian Tavernas that serve spit roast hogs and lambs (a speciality) as well as other traditional dishes. The walk up to the central area can either be taken along the beach front which is full of market stalls, shops and beach bars, as well as bungee cords for the more adventurous. The street of artists is also outside the front doors of the hotel and stretches up to the central area which is only a 2 minute stroll away but take this route and it could take you much longer as it’s hard not to stop and watch the artists at work.

We are famely stay in Barcelo from 1st of august for 1 week.It was perfect holiday.The aparment was very big and confortable. Was very hot(35-38C) byt in the apartment mmm nice 23C.It was clean,the staf was so frendly.There was 2 restaurants and poolbar and bbq in evening time.Every were the food was exellent.The chefs are so good a specialy in Le Caprice restaurant.The service was all so very good and the hosstes so nice with us.The perfect stay was distroy some times from other gest who was with any personal behaviors.The was to noisy and dirty make a mess after them.
Any how we are very happy with this hotel.Thenks to all.See you next year. -

We have just returned from a weeks stay at this apartment and I have to say we had an amazing time. The apartment is beautiful and the location is brilliant. I would recommend it to anyone thinking of going to Bulgaria. I will be booking again whenever I return to Bulgaria

We were a little dubious about going to Bulgaria as we had never been before so had no idea what to expect. And we were delighted. After having our holidays in Greece as a group of mature ladies for the last 6 years we fancied a change. We booked the transfers through Lisa and were driven by a lovely gentleman to the hotel and we arriced a Concierge took our cases for us to the apartment. Another surprise as its not what you expect when booking a self catering apartment. We then walked into a home from home. Carpets in the apartment were the last thing we expected and we were also surprised at the spaciousness of the apartment. We arrived at night and had a drink on the balcony bar looking over the pools which are beautiful at night. A nice lady round the pool talked to us about the spa and we had 2 treatments whilst we were there a first for me and we all can recommend the Chocolate Cleopatra!!! The complex is right in the centre of the resort and is still so peaceful at night time and the resort has something for everyone and every age. We had a fabulous time and have told all of our friends in Wales that they should go to Bulgaria and stay at the Royal Beach Barcelo. I will be returning hopefully towards the end of this year and hope to get this apartment as we were able to look at another one whilst we were there that was not half as spacious as this one. We had a wonderful holiday and have lots of wonderful memories so thank you Lisa and andrew what a lovely home you have that you share with strangers.

We had been to Bulgaria 3 years running and stayed in other 4 and 5 star self catering apartments. The year before we booked this apartment we visited the Royal Beach shopping Mall and had a look around the complex. I was shown the Barcelo spa and had a luxury treatment two days later whilst my husband sunbathed around the pool. We did not want to return back to our own complex as this was a far superior set up. On returning to the UK we made inquiries with Lisa the owner of the apartment and booked for 2009. The apartment was as stylish as the complex and we hated leaving at the end of our 2 weeks. The location was better than the previous accommodations we had stayed at in Sunny Beach as everything was on our doorstep including the beach which for the first time ever we never sunbathed on as the pools during the day were too much of a temptation to stay around. A supermarket is just across the street and we bought papers every morning which we read on one of the sofas poolside each day over coffee and fresh cream cakes. It truly was a great complex and we cannot wait to book later this year, just hope we can get the same apartment as we noticed that some of the other apartments had very tiny balconies compared to this which was large to say the least and we enjoyed a nightcap on the balcony every night before bed in peace as it is on the quieter side of the building with only a tennis court on the opposite side of the street. Royal Beach Barcelo whilst a little more expensive to rent in than other complexes in the resort is more than worth the extra few pennies and we cannot wait to return. We had never been to Bulgaria before so were a little unsure what to expect. Lisa had given us plenty of information though about the resort. We had looked at renting other apartments that were alot cheaper than this apartment in the resort. And we were delighted we paid that little extra. The apartment was like no other self catering apartment we had stayed in before. It was decorated to a 5 star standard and far outwieghed our expectations with cream carpets in the lounge and bedroom, the bath was huge as was the bed. We are returning to Bulgaria this year and hope to book this apartment and will be disappointed if we can not get the dates once our flights are booked. We spent most evenings after a meal in one of the many restaurants in the resort and a few drinks in the bars on the balcony with a bottle or two, it was quiet and peaceful after the hustle and bustle of the resort. The complex was above what the photos showed and the pools were great each one has a different atmosphere, I even treated myself and hubby to a treatment in the spa. A truely relaxing holiday in a fab complex and classy apartment
