Ideal family retreat - lakefront with great view, large screened porch, and hot tub.
This wonderful family retreat is the last home in a small subdivision. The back lot is heavily wooded adding privacy and yet the home takes in an expansive view of the cove and main channel - 39 mile marker of the Osage. The two story home has an open living floor plan with three bedrooms and three full baths.
Guests enter the Hill Crest home through the entry foyer and have the option of retreating to the upstairs bedrooms or going downstairs to the main living area. Upstairs are three spacious bedrooms, each with a view of the Lake. The master b...Read more

This is a very clean, well maintained rental in a great location. If you are looking for a kid-friendly house in a nice cove this is it. Our primary objective of our vacation is boating, and this house is near the best water on the lake.

My brothers and I brought our parents out to the lake to celebrate their anniversary with the family. The house was beautiful, although it was quite a journey to find it! We could have lived on that porch - the screened in area had so much room and we had most of our meals there, enjoying the warmth of the day, but protected from the bugs. The hot tub was amazing and was used every day. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the bathrooms were all beautiful, and the kitchen was stocked with pretty much any utensil or pan we could have wanted. We want to come back!

When we got there we found many things wrong with the renetal house. Me and my dad had to pull out our tool box to fix the doors and sink then after unpacking we found at least six or seven light bulbs out so we replaced them aslo. The hot tub was not very clean. The house was not very clean. When we pulled the vacume out and cranked it up it was soo full it dusted us out of the house we had to open all doors to air out. We really came here to fish and relax but the lights on the dock were out so i called sherry, an electrician came out pretty quick but he was making alot of noise shovleing and using his drill while i was fishing. Moreover my wife was sitting in the living room reading and the electrican kept comming in and out he had to move the table and take down the ceiling fan in the kitchen leaving a mess to cleanup. There was more i just cant remember. The only thing popsitive i have to say about this stay was the fishing was great we caught at least 100 crappies and i landed a 15 1/2 lb flathead and a 24 lb blue cat. needless to say we should have been paid to stay there the house was in better shape when we left and more clean. To top it all off i was supposed to get a night free but the credit was never made.

Thanks for the feedback! The dock lighting was repaired - break in the line which shorted out in the home - due to lower that normal water table at the Lake this Spring. Issue was beyond our control and was addressed immediately. The hot tub o-rings were bad and replaced during the guest stay. (Condition reported in advance by our handyman.) Home was scheduled for a deep cleaning right after the guest stay and was completed. All inventoried items were restocked with extra light bulbs in the utility room. I certainly wish we were told about the other issues and had a chance to resolve immediately. And I'm sorry I have no documentation of a refund. Glowing reviews continue to come in for this great vacation property.

Oswego, ILHappy Experience--Unhappy weather
Left on 05/10/2011 for a stay in April 2011
Even though the weather could have been better, we did enjoy our vacation. We loved the house! The kids loved the hot tub (or hot bath according to our son)! We have rented many houses in many locations, and this has been my favorite house by far. I was sad to leave. We did find things to do and places to go to keep us busy. Crystal Water Villas was a pleasure to work with.

We had a wonderful time at the lake. We loved the house and all the ammenties that came with it. Its a very quiet location on a dead end street. We loved having the screened in porch for rainy afternoons or just enjoying the evening air. the dock is a wonderful place for fishing or just relaxing, even though my 5 year old son never caught any fish, he had a great time trying. the swing on the dock allows endless minutes of relaxation!

Osage Beach, MissouriThanksgiving on the Lake
Left on 01/20/2011 for a stay in November 2010
We stayed at the Hillcrest over the Thanksgiving holiday. We had fair weather on some days and really got to enjoy the dock. We even made it into the hot tub a time or two. For Thanksgiving dinner, the table and view were just perfect. It's a memory that my family will hold forever.

Left on 01/20/2011 for a stay in September 2010
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We spent most of our time swinging on the dock, fishing, and relaxing on the porch. It's a lovely, comfortable home with all the amenities you need, and it's located in a quiet area of the lake. A big plus for us was being able to bring our dog along. We'll be returning soon!
