Guest Review: "This house was clean, very comfortable, and easy to use. Check-in was super friendly and accommodating, beds were very comfortable, and we just sank into the awesome couches. There were even videos for the kids!" - C. Moody
"White Elm #14 is a good house for a family w/teenagers. With the master bedroom up, you don't hear the kids running around downstairs. The wrap around deck is very nice allowing you to enjoy sun or shade any time of day. Fortunately, the shade hits the back deck in late afternoon/evening which makes for a very pleasant dinner time outside." - Julie

Our sunriver vacation was awesome, so much to do in the area and we had a great time. This house however, did nothing to add to our joy. I agree with a previous reviewer that this is not a home that is well cared for. We had several problems during our stay. For starters, check in was at 4:30 and we picked up our check in info at mt resprt properties. We arrived shortly after that to move our stuff into the house and relax only to find that the cleaning crew had just arrived. They told us to come back in an hour. When I complained the mt resort representative didn't even apologize stating that this was there busiest check in day all summer and "thanks for your understanding." Other problems with the house 1) many of the electrical outlets are not functional. When you go to plug something in, the plug literally falls out of the outlet. 2)There was a malfunctioning smoke detector that we had to disassemble in the middle of the night because we could not get the alarm to stop. During this process we found that the smoke detectors were over 11 years old and should be replaced. 3)the dishwasher flooded over the weekend and mt resort said they did not have anyone to come fix it until Monday (the day after we left. 4) the hot tub stopped working the same day and once again could not be fixed till monday. 5) ice dispenser on fridge was broken 6) all bikes broken except for 2 small child bikes 7) no cutting knives that worked! When all this was brought to the attention of mt resort properties they did nothing to compensate us for all these inconveniences. For all that money I was incredibly disappointed. I will never rent from this company again.
Everything is relative. If this house would have rented for $125.00 a night, maybe? Of course, Mountain Properties charged many, many times that during July 4th week with a five-day minimum. No air conditioning; inferior kitchen accessories with "knives" that couldn't cut warm butter; old hot tub with low water level and no lighting; propane ran out first night during patio dinner preparation; see-through bath towels that must have been around during the Carter Administration, and shortage of 4 towels compared to number on house cleaning list; kids bikes in garage not suitable for adults; "starter" soap and tissue supplies were skimpy, at best, so we drove to Bend COSTO and bought all our own; Mountain Properties expected us to [basically] do our own house keeping upon check-out that included stripping of bedding, as well as its laundry. It made us wonder why we paid for maid service when we never heard from housekeeping our entire visit. This house has been used and abused and gives renter the feeling that it's only a cash cow for the owner(s) -- certainly NOT a vacation home that is loved and maintained by proud owner(s). James W

Clean, comfortable and pet friendly. Large deck is a great place for the dogs when you need them out of the way for awhile. Gate at the top of the stairs, on the deck, keeps the dogs from escaping. If you use the fireplace, the downstairs rooms will be cooler than upstairs. If the fireplace is not used the house will be well balanced for heating both up and down stairs. This will be one of my top choices to stay again.

We filled all the beds in the house and comfortably got around. A few pros and cons, but overall it was a great house for what we needed.
+beds for 10 people
+the master suite was huge
+the porch was huge as well, with more than enough chairs outside
+plenty of bathrooms so nobody every had to wait
+view of the golf course
+more than enough parking in the driveway. We have come with a large group before and either ran out of parking in the driveway or had to move multiple cars to cars out. This house had a big and wide driveway, so we never ran into any parking issues even though we had 5-7 cars there throughout the weekend.
+There were a few bikes in the garage which was a pleasant surprise.
-the hot tub is kind of tucked away downstairs underneath the huge porch that's upstairs
-besides the master suite, the other rooms were small and not super comfortable. probably best for kids
-the living room was a little small considering we had 10 people stayign there and there's only couch space for 5. Fortunately, the kitchen table is nearby, so we could make do, but we had trouble hanging out as a group unless we sat on the porch or on the floor.
perfect for our family!

We had six adults and three children under 5. The home provided comfort for everyone and the kitchen had all the items you would want. The only thing missing was air conditioning. It was a very hot week and the upstairs got very warm. Very comfortable home.
Not an ideal house for hot weather.

Was a very comfortable house for the most part. However we were there during hot weather, so without air conditioning, we were bordering on miserable in the afternoon/evenings. Tried to keep as much sunlight out as possible because of that, but the skylights (which I normally love) were working against us. Loved the wrap-around deck. Found that things were not as clean as most of our rentals. Not all lights were functioning, one clock radio was not functioning. Downstairs bedroom with adjoining bath was really small. Someone in the MRP office told me there were only a couple of bikes available, though there were plenty, so we didn't need to haul ours over to Sunriver after all. I appreciate the customer service overall very much. Thank you!!

Spring Break at Sunriver what could make life better, well only the best place to stay. We truly enjoyed this home. It was spacious and well equipped. With teenagers it was nice to have two story. Hot tub was wonderful because we did get some days of rain so biking wasn't as appealing. We were pleasantly surprised with the bikes available at the house as well as the game center in the garage. The rental company was wonderful to deal with and my hats off to Deb who could answer all the questions. Mavericks!!! Great addition to this rental take advantage of it. Indoor basketball court at Mavericks again a savior in the rain for the kids. Will definately rent this one again!

This house was clean, very comfortable, and easy to use. Check-in was super friendly and accomodating, beds were very comfortable, and we just sank into the awesome couches. There were even videos for the kids! They could use a garlic press and better knives in the kitchen, but otherwise the house was very family friendly. We did have a couple of maintenance issues, but the company did a fabulous job of addressing those immediately. Loved the two fridges (one in the garage for drinks and overflow). The deck was awesome, we enjoyed sitting on it and watching the golfers go by, along with birds, deer and other wildlife. Great house!

We were greeted with extraordinary service the minute we checked in and it continued until we left. We had a small glitch with the garage door and within hours we had someone at the house looking at it. The house was very clean and warm. The added benefit of the maverick membership was wonderful and the family enjoyed all it had to offer. We look forward to booking another reservation with mountain resort.
