Delightful two story home (1500+/- sq. ft.). Located just a short distance to Fort Rock Park recreation area. Featuring a wood burning fireplace, seating for everyone in the vaulted great room. The kitchen has lots of counter space and plenty of room for more than one cook. The dining room has seating for everyone at the same table. Guest Reviews: "We loved the house and the location. We receive SHARC passes, Maverick passes, the north pool and tennis courts. The hot tub was a soothing place after long days of bike riding. The master bedroom is gorgeous." - Danielle
"Great big house and wonderful, central location. Wonderful outdoor hot tub, and lovely sunken bath in the master bedroom." - SC
It would seem that this property is ready for some serious updating/upgrading. The floors upstairs squeaked so badly that it woke the downstairs sleepers at night. The kitchen barely had enough dishware to prepare a breakfast (although enough wine glasses to support a large party).

This house was perfect for four of us. There was room for two more - but we didn't need it.
The living area is filled with natural light. The deck was wonderful to sit at during the evening.
The location was great. I walked to the Village one morning and to the marina the next. Both walks, all on bike paths, were 4 miles round trip. There are bikes in the garage.
The Mountain Resort has an awesome mobile app. It has all the information you need: TV and HD listings, Internet password, how to pick up keys after hours - and other important information. Be sure to take advantage of the mobile app.
Nice 2-bdrm house with a deep bathtub

We brought overseas guests to spend a few days. Kitchen was equipped well including many herbs & spices. Beautiful Master bdrm with a deep bathtub. We rode bikes and went to Sharc and had a lot of fun.
The only thing missing was hair dryer which the property management said they would provide for future use.
Great quiet private location

This rental is in a perfect location for getting around Sunriver easily on your bike or in your car. It's in the middle of Sunriver, so equal distances from the Village, the River Loop, and other Sunriver destinations. The bike paths are just out White Elm.
The house itself is in a quiet and private spot, with lots of windows looking out into the trees. Deer spent one afternoon out back. There's a nice hot tub on the deck. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a variety of pots and pans. (Except only six small mugs, along with many many glasses and plates and bowls. I'd advise bringing your own coffee and tea mugs.) The kitchen is roomy and has lots of counterspace to work on.
The house is older and does have some idiosyncrasies. In the Master Suite, there is no wall between the bathroom and toilet and bed area, so if you like to be separate and private when you're using the toilet, you should not use this room. The entire auite is carpeted, and I worried about under the toilet. What if a gasket started linking, or heaven forbid, the toilet had a backup?!
There is a normal full bathroom downstairs.
The mattress has some years on it, but we slept fine.
The living room's furniture is comfortable for lounging. Something was up with the living room television's audio, so one could only barely hear it turned up to maximum. This TV had a DVD player, and a videocassette player was upstairs.
We chose this house for the location and price, not for its luxuriousness. Except for the house's few oddities, it was just what we wanted and expected, and we had a great week.

It was my 5yr old son and I. We had intermittent family stop by. The house was great !. We had an amazing time. The jacuzzi tub in the main bedroom was huge. The house was clean and had plenty of room. I was worried about the reviews of the uncomfortable beds. They are old and could use an upgrade (especially the 2 twins), however it wasn't as bad as I expected and I got sleep. The tv in the living room was having volume issues so we couldn't watch tv really. All around it was a great, clean house. We will rent it again in the future. Altho

The folks at Mt Resort Prop are always great on the phone and in person. We started renting vacation homes in Sunriver in 2011 and this was our 3rd rental. Our first house was amazing.
I do not enjoy putting a negative evaluation on here but I have to say the last two houses we rented, including 21 White Elm, were not great. Each presented with significant issues, in both houses the hot tubs were not functioning upon our arrival. On this visit we had to wait until day 2 to use the hot tub as it was at 62* when we arrived.
21 White Elm has poor beds, the bed covers were not clean and the master shower was also not clean. The barbeque was almost non-functioning and the house did not have any grill tools. We had 1 plastic spatula to work with. (We did call Mt Resorts and they brought some tools over to us) Several of the bikes are broken and we were thankful we carried up some of our own. The dining table was so rocky we had to request someone come to fix it as it was on the verge of collapse.
The location of this house is great, the rent is low and the benefits of getting Sharks and Mavricks passes is a huge point for us but I would not rent this house again. After these past two experiences we will look for another option for our next visit to Sunriver. It is a special/favorite destination for the whole family but we will look at another rental agency or Vrbo. Read more
Response from MOUNTAIN RESORT PROPERTIES - 04/14/2013
We appreciate any and all feedback good or bad. Sometimes you, the renter have to be our eyes and ears. Items in the above review have been addressed. Spa had a minor issue that was fixed almost immediately and did take some time from time of repair to heat back up. These are vacation homes and we do not own these homes. Just like in your personal home things can and will eventually break down (ie hot tub, bikes, etc). We do our best to keep up with preventative maintenance but can not always for see all issues that can arise. Bikes have been gone through and non-functioning bikes have been removed from guest use. The house came with 9 total bikes and there were enough working for the amount that the home sleeps (6) for guest use.

The house was clean and comfortable. I think it could use some upkeep and up dating.
Great location, disappointing comfort

I would like to mention the positives first! Great big house and wonderful, central location. Wonderful outdoor hot tub, and lovely sunken bath in the master bedroom. It was disappointing that the frying pans were peeling and gross! The mattresses on the upstairs and downstairs beds were very worn and lumpy. My back was aching after 4 nights. If it wasn't for that, we'd maybe go back.

Check in and out were pleasant. This home has potential. Needs a new refrigerator or work on the one that's there. Didn't keep things as cold as it should have. Dishes, silverware, kitchen supplies could be better. Nice Large master bedroom upstairs with spa tub. Loft with twins small, but ok, Great location off of circle 4. Hot tub outside is large, but not much power, nice for relaxing soak. Deck needs work. Gas barbeque available. There are 9? Older Bikes available but bring your own helmets. No air conditioning but ceiling fan & 1 fan in each of 2 bedrooms. We were glad we brought extra fans. There are at least 3small, older tvs & a few games in the utility room cupboard. Parking for at least 2 cars.
Great Time in Sunriver

We had no idea that Sunriver was there, until a work conference was planned there. I wanted someplace to stay that was cheaper than the big lodge, but nice for the whole family. We were amazed that we could rent a whole cabin and I could just bike down to the meetings, while the family played. We had so much room, and the area had so much to do. What a great place, and great idea!
Clean and comfortable.

I received good service. The home was nice and clean. I liked least the house being cold when we arrived and the refrigerator barely cool, on the warmest setting. The hot tub was just barely warm as well and had loose parts floating which I reported. I liked most how clean home was. The tv were outdated and remotes hard to operate. Overall good experience!

Close to Fort Rock Park if you have little kids. The house was clean and roomy. Great large laundry room directly off the garage. Kitchen utensils and pots/pans were plenty. Could use more plates--lunch size specifically. Warning to people with little kids, the twin beds are in the loft overlooking the living room. My 4 yr old wanted to peer over the railing several times--nerve racking. Bicycles pretty dated--one missing a chain, one the gears were broken. Hot tub nice, looked fairly new. Some of the window latches downstairs are broken though. Overall, excellent deal for the $99/night special over Labor Day weekend.
Tacky Sunriver Home
Left on 08/21/2009 for a stay in August 2009 | Bruce
The house was tacky, very outdated, tired, and a funky floor plan.
Furnishings were old, tired, and not very comfortable. We didn't really
watch TV, but other units we rented in this price range have had larger flat
Kitchen dishes and silverware were minimal and cheesy. Had trouble
having enough when we had company. Silverware easily bent. Very small
coffee pot and things like that.
Master bedroom and bath very bizarre. Bath open and part of the
bedroom, including the toilet. No privacy.
Bikes in garage all broken in some way.
Very clear that this is an investment property only, and not used by the
owner. And no money invested into the property.
Good things - Plenty of towels and storage space.
There are vastly better units in Sunriver for the same price range. This had
the vibes of being on a road trip and having trouble finding a hotel. You
finally find a really marginal room, and it is just adequate enough for the
one night. This is not a place you would want to stay for a relaxing
Good Floor Plan - Needs Extensive Maintenance
Left on 08/05/2009 for a stay in July 2009 | Kathryn
This property has a comfortable floor plan which met the needs of our party. The location is close to Fort Rock Park and we especially enjoyed the doe and fawn that came through the yard nightly. There was easy access to the bike path.
The Mountain Resort Properties staff were very helpful. They quickly replaced the small appliances that were not working and did so with a smile.
However, the property is in need of extensive repair. Several of the windows did not open as they were missing the necessary hardware. The design of the windows that open on the desk is dangerous, especially for small children as they could step or fall into them easily. One window had severe cracks.
While the kitchen appliances (dishwasher, stove, refrigerator) were in good condition, the kitchen was poorly equipped and some of the drawers were hard to open. The entire interior, especially the kitchen, needed painting and a thorough deep cleaning.
The deck furniture was basic (plastic chairs and wobbly table) and uncomfortable. Hot tub was clean, hot and very relaxing.
There were several bikes in the garage but all were in disrepair and unsafe to use. They should be fixed, recycled, or discarded.
We would rent again from Mountain Resort Properties but not at 21 White Elm.

There is no cable in the master bedroom. There was a TV in the closet but didn't work without antenna or cable. The outside deck looks like it is falling apart and needs to be replaced. Bicycles need to be updated or replaced. Other than that, it is not a bad house. The kitchen is spacious, nice washer & dryer. Master bedroom is very nice
Nice home - good location

This home has a nice layout and was perfect for our needs, but it was not very well cleaned. It was fairly easy to keep cool even though it didn't have air conditioning. It is very centrally located and there were lots of bikes in the garage. However, there were not enough towels, and there were no dish towels at all, so we had to use bath towels in the kitchen. We felt it was reasonably priced and we would probably stay there again.
